RadioMobil introduced a number of new services

Brno, October 15, 2001 - Today at INVEX - the International Information Technologies Fair - RadioMobil introduced new services that will be offered to its customers yet before the end of the year 2001. Primarily for the field of entertainment and leisure the services are designed the services of Audio Pohlednice (Audio Card) and Voice SMS. The service called MojeInfo (MyInfo) offers effective method of communicating and information to a greater number of recipients. Paegas Recepce (Paegas Reception) is an automated voice information system designated namely for small and mid-size businesses.

â?śWe want the RadioMobil customers to have an option to benefit of all services offered by the mobile (cellular) communications today. Therefore, we focused on the area of entertainment and leisure as well as products prepared for small and medium size businesses,â?ť said Robert Chvátal, the Marketing Director of RadioMobil.

The Audio Pohlednice (Audio Card) service allows to send out entertaining audio messages through a mobile (cellular) phone. By dialing 6666 the users of Paegas network dispose of an extensive database of cards structured in various categories according to a the of the message and occasion for which it is supposed to be send (birthday, anniversary, name-day, invitation, jokes, songs, etc.). The caller chooses through a tone dialing a card, records his/her own comment and enters a number of the called party. After the card is delivered he/she receives an SMS delivery note. From the point of view of the recipient the card behaves like any other incoming call.

The Voice SMS permits the Paegas network customers to forward short text messages into fixed telecommunication networks as well. Through a technology called Text-to-Speech the message sent is first transposed to a voice record, and then delivered to a phone number selected. It is possible to send out messages in the Czech and English languages.

The MojeInfo (MyInfo) service allows to create the own information SMS channel. The information from the channel founder is delivered to all subscribers assigned to be provided with information from this channel. There is a number of methods as how to take advantage of this service. Companies and businesses may benefit from it due to communication with their customers, suppliers or employees. MojeInfo (MyInfo) can be used e.g. as a tool for loyalty programs or forwarding of current offers from traders. This service can be well used by the general public as well. Similarly as in case of SMS Chat MojeInfo (MyInfo) is determined to be used for communication between people with the same line of interest. Unlike the Chat, it is used in case of no need of a feedback from the recipient. Therefore, it is well applicable e.g. as a tool for communicating information within various fan clubs and interest groups.

The Paegas Recepce (Paegas Reception) allows the customer to operate his/her own virtual reception (switchboard) as well as own customer line. All this without necessity to hire new staff. This service is based on a technology called IVR hosting (Interactive Voice Response), during which the calling party determines further course of the call through a tone dialing. IVR is preset for the customer before his/her voice ClickBox. After reaching the ClickBox an information offering the optional dialing is first introduced. Based on the tone dialing it is then possible to replay a voice file, over-connect to a predefined phone number, or leave a message in the reference box. The administration of this entire system is possible through Internet or telephone. This service is designed for all companies businesses for which is important to have a professional contact with their customers and other business partners. It is namely suitable for small and mid-size companies and businesses. However, it is also well applicable for bigger companies operating in the environment unfitted for having a classic type reception area (construction companies, schools, etc.).

New functions were incorporated into ClickBox as well. ClickBox is an intelligent electronic mail box, in which all voice, e-mail and fax messages are recorded. It is possible to control it (replay, view, modification and sending messages further) through phone (calling, WAP) or Internet. ClickBox as a one of the initial services in the world also permits to benefit from two absolutely revolutionary new products - voice control and text reading. Due to the voice control the customer can go through the box using simple and logic voice commands to activate its functions. The text reading gives an option to have an e-mail heading or its entire text read by an electronic voice. For such reading it is possible to choose the Czech or English pronunciation. A new service is the option of e-mail reading also made available to users of the free ClickBox Easy service. A new characteristic of ClickBox is an option to send out SMS messages directly from the Internet and WAP ClickBox interface. Forwarding combined messages, when the same text is sent like e-mail, fax and SMS is also a new option to benefit from.


From INVEX 2000 to INVEX 2001 alias another year with RadioMobil

Last week RadioMobil had welcome its 2.5 millionth customer. So it means that the Paegas network is presently used already by one fourth of the entire Czech population.

Network coverage and quality
This year RadioMobil has invested almost CZK 10 bill. in total. Majority of these finances is directed in a development and increase of the network quality. This is why RadioMobil presently disposes of the highest number of base stations in the Czech Republic. Since the moment when we reached 98% coverage of the Czech population the number of these stations within the Paegas network doubled. This year we also have completed the implementation of the EFR technology by which we now achieve high quality of the sound transmitted.

New services
By offer of services based on the top-of-the-art technologies Paegas confirmed its position of the innovator. As the first Czech operator ever it introduced services based on determination of mobile (cellular) phone location: Paegas Locator, Paegas SMS Locator and Paegas Navigator. The Paegas Locator and SMS Locator allow authorized persons to determine a geographic position of mobile (cellular) phones equipped with the special Paegas Profi SIM card. Both these services function on the same principle but the location discovered by use of the Paegas SMS Locator is not being displayed at a computer map, however, it is delivered to a person who asked for it at his/her mobile (cellular) phone in a form of SMS. Due to its simple operation it is beneficial for use not only in professional fields associated with movement within a terrain, but it gets appreciated e.g. by parents desiring to check on their child. Both these services are certainly secured against misuse by an unauthorized individual. Upon the customerâ??s request the Paegas Navigator locates a required object within his/her surrounding area, e.g. pharmacy, closest fuel station or pension. This service functions on the SMS basis, and in addition, the customer must not indicate his/her immediate location â?" Paegas Navigator discovers his/her location by itself.

RadioMobil made a step towards payments made through a mobile (cellular) phone. The customer can purchase through his/her mobile phone a soft drink from the Coca-Cola vending machine by dialing only one number and entering required data. A newly available option of car wash at ARAL fuel stations works on the same principle. The payment for utilization of these services is charged to a tariff type subscriber in a form of regular monthly billing, the Twist card owner gets this type service deducted of his/her credit.

At present, Paegas is also the biggest provider of GSM banking service. Through the Paegas GSM Banking the customers can safely proceed with transactions on their bank accounts. Using a mobile (cellular) phone they can e.g. find out what their balance is on the accounts, monitor their history, submit payment orders, open term deposits, or obtain information about exchange rates and interest rate. This service permitting the customer to handle banking transactions without a personal visit at the bank, and at any time of the day for 365 days in a year is based on the SIM Toolkit technology, and is absolutely safe and comfortable.

An important trend in controlling the services of mobile (cellular) communication is an interconnection of the mobile (cellular) phone and Internet. Last year RadioMobil had introduced a Paegas Click portal allowing the customer to have a direct access to information and the own setting of services. The WEB interface allows to modify a profile of services as well as utilize an electronic box upon a principle of unified messaging, while all SMS formats (SMS, e-mail, fax, voice message) are collected at one place and are mutually transferable. Since August a synthesis of speech is also available, while the message written by a computer system is transposed into a voice form.

The quality and advantageous connection to Internet, Intranet or WAP using a mobile (cellular) phone is handled by the Paegas GPRS service. Its benefit are high speed of data transmissions and non-stop on-line connection without any necessity to dial a number before every data transmission. In addition, the customer does not pay any charges for a period of connection but only for transmitted data.

For entertainment and leisure the ClickFun service is designed allowing the customer of the Paegas network to modify his/her mobile (cellular) phone according to his/her ideas and needs. A wide range of various types of ringing, log, SMS picture, comics, topics and profiles is then focused on domestic contents.

Users of prepaid Twist cards deal even with more comfort when recharging their credits. Besides the voucher method of card recharging they now can use an automated teller system, and newly also take advantage of recharging the credit through CCS terminals available at fuel stations all over the Czech Republic. When traveling abroad they can call in the roaming with direct calling already from all neighboring countries, now within a Globtel network even in Slovakia. Paegas Twist Roaming with direct calling can be now used in a total of seven countries in the world.

Within a process of further improvement of the customer service quality and monitoring of customers needs this summer we have introduced a new brand called Paegas Professional concentrating the services for corporate clientele.

Best price for the value
In September new tariffs were introduced ranked as one of the best deals on the Czech market. By putting a special price on HIT it is possible to make a phone call within the Paegas network for CZK 2/min., and SMS costs only CZK 1. In addition, the customers make calls for the same special prices during peak as well as non-peak hours, during business days as well as public holidays and weekends. After the first minute the call is charged a rate per second, and the customer then pays only for time spent making such call. The system of billing domestic calls has been also simplified: there are only two rates used. One rate is set for the calls made within the Paegas network, and another one is applicable to calls made to other networks. For each new tariff the customer may get another SIM card within the Paegas Partner program scheme. According to the tariff selected it is possible to be provided with one up to three more SIM cards.

For owners of the prepaid Twist cards who communicate primarily by SMS, a new tariff named Twist SMS had been designed under a scheme of which the forwarding one SMS amounts only to CZK 1.70. The Twist Standard tariff is still available. A transition between both of the tariffs is possible to be done by dialing a toll free number, and every customer then can choose a tariff plan that suits his/her needs. New customers will welcome a special price set for the Twist card that is available since September for only CZK 699, including CZK 400 credit. If they decide to get a banking Twist card, they will pay CZK 899.

Since this fall the corporate customers of the Paegas network have a chance to take advantage of unified roaming tariffs. They were established within the T-Mobile group which associates mobile (cellular) operators jointly owned by Deutsche Telekom. These tariffs are offered under the name of WorldClass and allow making calls in 26 countries in the world as low as CZK 37/min. The customers then do not have to check prices applicable to calls in individual countries each time they intend to travel abroad, and Paegas guarantees them the services quality, including simplicity and transparency of the roaming calls billing.

Customer Service
Besides a wide range of services and products offered, RadioMobil puts emphasis on quality and continuous care for its customers. The Paegas network customer can turn to us with his/her questions non-stop, i.e. 24 hours/7 days per week. His/her requirements are being handled by two Paegas InfoCenters in Prague and Louny, a construction of the third InfoCenter In Hradec Králové has been launched this year.

The InfoCenters handle almost 40 thousand contacts in one day. In order to make sure they function smoothly, RadioMobil developed its own intelligent CRM system on the Clarify platform. Besides other things, this system is capable to evaluate a profile of the caller, and according to the history of his/her previous contacts with the InfoCenter, it selects an operator whose knowledge and information reflect the requirements of this particular customer the most. The fact as how important is to RadioMobil its customerâ??s satisfaction, is documented by nearly one thousand employees working at these InfoCenters.
