Louny Call Center commences operation

  • More than 70 employees start work in Louny
  • More than 360 people will find jobs here by the end of the year 2000
  • New professional office of a worldwide standard comes into existence

More than 70 employees in Louny have already started working at the newly-established client service center of Radiomobil, operator of the Paegas GSM mobile phone network. By the end of the year 2000, this international company will offer job opportunities in its newly reconstructed building to at least another 300 persons throughout the entire district and surrounding communities.

The building at Komenského námÄ?stí in Louny was reconstructed completely by RadioMobil, starting with the foundations - the new front is striking even from a distance and, in addition, the interior structure of the building has, of course, changed entirely - next to the operators stations, visitors will find the reception, a training room, a conference hall and even a winter garden - a modern environment many employees can only wish for.

In a record time of six months, RadioMobil completely reconstructed and equipped the building, hired new employees and started operation of its new information lines. In addition, the Call Center equipment is always significantly more demanding than the equipment in regular offices because the operators job is very difficult - this employee handles an average of 150 calls per shift. This puts heavy demands not only on his or her person but also on the technological equipment and on the ergonomic arrangement of the workplace. In addition, operator services are available to clients 24 hours a day; thus, the fact that people work in three shifts here must be taken into account.

"Weve invested more than CZK 100 million into the buildings reconstruction and equipment," stated company spokesperson Tereza Kakosová. "Thanks to this major investment, the Louny Center employees will enjoy a worldwide standard workplace with top equipment, as their colleagues in Prague do. The operators, who represent the majority of the Louny Call Center employees, are very important to the company because they are in direct contact with the client, who is used to top-level services. Were aware of the fact that only people working in a professional environment can provide perfect services and, concerning the Louny office, there can be no doubt about it."

RadioMobil started recruiting a new work force at the beginning of the summer and, in response, it received extreme interest in working for this company. This is no surprise, as its employees are offered not only excellent financial remuneration and the prospect of further professional growth but they also receive a number of fringe benefits, such as the possibility of further education, or sports activities for all employees, no matter whether they work in Prague, Brno, Ostrava or Louny.

The RadioMobil joint-stock company is the operator of the Paegas GSM network. The Paegas network now covers more than 97% of the population of the Czech Republic. Nowadays, clients can take their GSM Paegas mobile phones to 75 countries worldwide and use the roaming services of 154 operators. At the end of October, more than 700,000 clients were using Paegas GSM network services.
