Prague, 29 April 2004 - T-Mobile customers have a chance to experience the upcoming UEFA EURO 2004 first-hand. Thanks to exclusive news updates on the Czech team's matches and happenings at the championship, they can be the first to get a picture of a goal within a few minutes on their mobiles. Thanks to news, important events, players' commentaries and gossip, customers will be able to be with the Czech national team even in the most exalted moments. In addition, the t-zones mobile portal will provide the opportunity to watch the championship minute by minute and have immediate access to the complete results lists, tables, schedules and a lot of other information. To calm down, users can download a Java game or MMS postcard with their favourite football star or, for example, the official song of the championship sung by Nelly Furtado. All T-Mobile customers can support and root for our team: T‑Mobile gives a national team jersey as a present with each Twist set or contract activation. Whichever T-Mobile phone the customer buys, it will always provide the ideal way to watch the football championship.
Free football jersey
Starting on 3 May, each customer who buys a new Twist set labelled with the picture of the jersey or activates any of the standard T-Mobile tariffs will receive a Czech national team jersey. In the same way, prepaid card users who decide to switch to a standard tariff and customers who extend their subscriber contracts will be able to root for the Czech national team in the jersey in Czech national colours.
For users interested in Twist services, there are the attractively-priced "Euro sets? with the Siemens A60 for CZK 2,999; there are Nokia 3100 sets for 4,499, and customers will pay CZK 4,999 for a set with the Siemens MC60 with an integrated camera. In addition, these sets contain a special-edition Twist card with a CZK 20 credit and a 30% bonus which applies to the first top-up with CZK 400 or more.
The above phones are being offered at special prices to contract customers as well: they can buy them within the HIT package or take advantage of a special price which is combined with activation at half the standard price. The latest offer is the Nokia 6230 with a built-in camera for the special price of CZK 8,499 which, among other features, is able to play videos, and a brand new Sharp TM100 which will be offered exclusively to T-Mobile customers at the special price of CZK 9,999 in the course of May.
Exclusive news coverage
With T-Mobile phones, all football fans can be right in the middle of the EURO 2004 happenings. Thanks to an exclusive news service, they will not miss a single goal, result or important event. T-Mobile offers three news packages. Customers simply prepay general news coverage for a price starting at CZK 19 and then they will be able to enjoy a much lower price for each message within the package than if ordering the messages individually. For the price of the package, they will receive the desired information as SMS, MMS or even video - depending on their preferences and the messaging format supported by the phone.
The first of the special news packages will please all ardent fans of the Czech team. News from trainings and matches, information on players' health, the mood in the team, expert commentaries, interviews with players and coaches - all of this will be sent to customers in the form of up to eight SMS and MMS every day. Thanks to the Zápas (Match) package, all fans will be able to experience our team's matches even if they're not sitting in front of the TV. Exclusive information and pictures from current matches of the Czech team, goals, shots on goals and sending-offs will be sent to customers via SMS and MMS or even as a video. The Euro package will contain the most important up-to-date UEFA EURO 2004 news. At work or on the tram, everybody will have access to up-to-the-minute news, including match results, team news, trainers' and player's comments and gossip, as well as pictures from matches or group tables.
News packages will be available for ordering from 5 May. Information will first be provided on 1 June and complete news coverage will start along with the kick-off of the championship on 12 June.
EURO 2004 at t-zones
Up-to-date EURO 2004 news will be accessible at any time on the t-zones wap site. Under t-sports, EURO 2004, customers will find the latest news and live broadcasts of individual matches, complete results lists, tables and the schedules. There will also be important information on the Czech team and happenings behind the scenes.
There is also a wide range of football motifs available for download. Under Downloads, Euro 2004, users can choose from a number of MMS postcards and wallpapers with Czech football players in action - for example, Nedvěd, Čech, Rosický, Koller and Baroš - or the championship mascot. Customers will also have the chance to dress up their mobiles in EURO 2004 style thanks to logos, pictures and picture messages.
