25 October 2018 – Beginning on 1 November, T-Mobile is launching its “Richest Christmas” campaign, which will support the operator’s Christmas offer of devices that can be purchased at subsidised prices. The operator has prepared a possibility for both the new and existing to purchase devices within the Magenta account for even more attractive prices starting at CZK 1.
The family of Magenta 1 customers is growing
In February this year, T-Mobile successfully launched its new service – Magenta 1, which brings customers benefits by combining mobile and fixed-line services under one contract. All that customers need to do in order to register in Magenta 1 is to use any two services for a minimum price of CZK 399. “The first nine months have shown that the new offer has met with a very positive response from customers, which is also mirrored by the significant increase in sales of fixed-line services,” explains Juraj Bóna, Vice President B2C Marketing and Product Management at T-Mobile, adding: “According to our expectations, the largest percentage of the services represented under this offer comprise mobile services with 65%. An ever growing number of customers are purchasing also the fixed-line internet and TV services from T-Mobile.” The largest number of customers use two services, but the groups using several services and products are also strongly represented – for example, 19% of customers activate five or more services.
T-Mobile TV is doing well in Magenta 1
The TV service from T-Mobile on the IPTV or satellite platform is used by nearly 70,000 customers, which is 20,000 more than at the end of the first quarter of this year. Most customers use the Magenta 1 services. The most widely used and most appreciated feature of IPTV is time-shifting. Thanks to the combination of recording via, for example, a mobile phone and extension of time-shifting to seven days for all channels, customers using T-Mobile TV will not miss any of their favourite programmes. Customers currently use the time-shifting feature with more than three million programmes every month. The portfolio of channels will be newly expanded with the addition of BBC Earth. T-Mobile is the exclusive operator on the Czech market to offer this documentary channel with Czech localisation, which it will launch on 15 November.
The richest Christmas under the wing of Magenta 1
For the duration of the Christmas campaign, T-Mobile has prepared a unique opportunity for its customers to combine the individual subsidies (contributions) available under their services and thus obtain attractive devices from the Christmas offer with an even bigger discount. The basic condition is that all transactions must be carried out under the Magenta 1 service. The subsidies are combined under the “Magenta account”, where the subsidies for all relevant transactions under Magenta 1 are added up and customers can select hardware, offsetting the total amount on the Magenta account against the price of the hardware. The price of a selected device can be reduced to CZK 1 by applying the Magenta account. “T-Mobile is an integrated operator that listens to its customers and can offer them solutions for the entire household. Throughout the Christmas campaign, customers can also put together contributions from fixed-line services in the Magenta campaign,” explains Juraj Bóna. The total amount on the Magenta account must be redeemed on a single occasion at the same time orders are made.
The list of devices for the Magenta account includes not only mobile phones and a notebook, but also the new version of PlayStation 4 bundled with three games and a PS+ subscription for three months. The main device in the Christmas offer is a 125.7 cm (50”) 50WF66 SONY television. It is a full HD model with high dynamic range, featuring the unique X-Reality™ PRO picture technology. The November offer of handsets will include Samsung devices. In December, customers can look forward to new models, which the operator will publish at a later date.
Christmas discount on selected mobile phones and accessories
Customers who decide not to use the offer of the Christmas Magenta account can purchase selected handsets and hardware for subsidised prices. In November, T-Mobile will offer the Samsung Galaxy J3 for CZK 1, Samsung Galaxy J5 for CZK 499 with the Mobil M tariff plan and other devices for special prices. The offer will be changed in December. Customers who do not select any of the handsets in the offer will have an opportunity to purchase additional devices for subsidised prices, such as the Acer Aspire 1 notebook for CZK 5,981. The special prices are valid for residential customers when signing a new or extending an existing contract for 24 months.

Christmas for users of the prepaid Twist card
For users of the prepaid Twist card, the operator has prepared a bonus of 20% extra credit for each initial credit top-up in a month for the duration of the Christmas campaign. The bonus applies when customers top up their credit with CZK 300 or more at T-Mobile shops. In the My T-Mobile application, the bonus for the first credit top-up in a month is somewhat larger – upon the first credit top-up in a month, customers receive a bonus of 25% extra credit. This offer is valid until the end of the year. Beginning in November, customers can also purchase a new limited edition of Twist cards with a special portion of 2 GB of data for CZK 200. The card includes a 2 GB data allowance which is free of charge for the first 30 days and then the price is 20% cheaper in comparison with the standard price. The credit for services will be worth CZK 100. The limited edition will be available only in a limited quantity in selected sales channels.
Christmas at the Růženka hotel
Within the Christmas campaign, T-Mobile is remaining loyal to its year-round concept. The operator and its customers will again return to the Růženka (“Rose”) mountain hotel with Emma (Veronika Kubařová), Richard (Kryštof Hádek), SkiBob (Jiří Langmajer) and others. And who knows who else is coming to the hotel. The campaign will run until the end of the year on TV, in print, outdoor, internet and social media and will be complemented with communication at T-Mobile shops. Two 30-second spots will be gradually aired on TV; their extended versions can be watched online. In addition to these spots, T-Mobile will introduce two 15-second tactical spots every month. The campaign was developed by Saatchi & Saatchi. The TV spots were directed by Tomáš Bařina and produced by Boogie Films. The man behind the camera was Tomáš Sysel.
