Prague, 25 October 2004 - The T-Mobile website at the well-known address http://t-mobile.cz/ has been completely revamped. Starting today, all visitors will recognize the change at first glance. In addition to the design, the structure, content and navigation of the website have undergone significant changes. Thanks to a direct interconnection of general information and a self-service zone, the customer will be able to access the set-up of a number of services simply by double-clicking. The new website will also provide the "freedom of movement? to everyone who views it using a pocket PC or mobile phone.
"We redesigned the website with customer convenience in mind. We wanted all necessary information - general, personalised and technical - to be available to customers from a single place, regardless of whether they use a PC or mobile device to view it,? says Tomáš Růžička, Executive Vice President Customer Care, adding: "We believe that with the new, lighter graphic design and easier access to information, we are bringing customers real simplicity, reliability and inspiration.?
Menu, navigation and content
A new structure has been created for the new website, providing visitors with requested information at two or three clicks. Fast and direct access to the desired data is ensured by the roll-down menu and alternative tools - Fast Navigation, 3D navigation or sitemap. Individual articles now have an important feature: When reading a text, for example, about SMS, tips for other uses of the service, related links to the SMS Info service and instructions on how to send a SMS from the internet are offered to users of the new website.
Direct interconnection with the My T-Mobile self-service zone
Until now, if a customer was reading an article on the website concerning, for example, multimedia messages and then wanted to activate the service, he had to first go to the t-zones portal, log in, choose the respective bookmark of the My T-Mobile self-service zone, choose the settings of services and select the particular type of service to be activated. Now only two clicks are needed: directly on the page with the article on the service, the customer will find a direct link to the MMS set-up, from which the customer will, upon logging in, go directly to the respective My T-Mobile page where he/she can activate the service immediately.
Downloadable files
In the past, customers who were looking, for example, for a phone manual or free software had to go through various links and texts which contained the desired documents. There is now a new tool on the website for these purposes, which makes it easy to obtain the necessary files or programs. Under Péče a podpora (Customer care and support), simply select Soubory ke stažení (Downloadable files) and you can search for documents based on different criteria such as keywords, etc. Customers can thus conveniently download everything they need from one place.
Access from mobile devices
The old version of the website did not display in a sufficiently well-arranged way on MDAs and other mobile devices and, in some cases, not even completely. Customers had to scroll the page both horizontally and vertically to find the requested information. Today, the website will adapt to the given equipment the customer is using to view it. Some elements of lesser importance are left out and the content of the page will be rearranged so that it can be used only vertically in most cases. Customers can thus access the complete content of the website quickly and conveniently, wherever and whenever they need it. It does not matter whether they access it using an MDA or a selected phone whose wap browsers support HTML.
