T-MOBILE TO TRANSFER MORE CUSTOMERS TO ELECTRONIC INVOICES

Electronic statements now used by nearly 800,000 customers
Eighty-percent success rate in the pilot transfer
Eight tons of paper saved so far

Prague, 4 March 2014 – Six months after the initial pilot transfer in September 2013, T-Mobile has decided to offer electronic statements to another 125,000 customers for testing. The pilot transfer has been successful, as nearly 80% of customers have continued using this billing method, thus helping to reduce paper consumption by an incredible eight tons in six months. The operator will to approach more customers with the option of using this billing method in March.

“The pilot transfer was very successful in our view and that’s why we are continuing our efforts,” says Petra Pavičová, Social Responsibility Manager at T-Mobile, adding: “We perceive social responsibility to be an extremely important aspect in this activity, too. Therefore, we have been transferring clients gradually, taking into consideration disadvantaged groups such as elderly people.”

Electronic invoices are currently used by nearly 800,000 customers. T-Mobile has endeavoured to motivate more clients to opt for this billing method. Electronic statements are not only environmentally friendly (they save paper, electricity and water, while also reducing emissions), but are also available to customers in the My T-Mobile self-service application faster than printed statements sent by post. The electronic invoices are also very clearly arranged, and there is no need to file useless piles of paper, so customers save space and, in many cases, the monthly fee of CZK 19.15 for the printed version.

Information for customers
All customers to whom the transfer to this billing method applies will be given sufficient advance notice via all available channels. A notification will appear in information banners on their last printed invoices. Concurrently, the operator will again use e-mail and text messages to communicate the change and information will also be available on the dedicated page at www.t-mobile.cz/vyuctovanielektronicky. Beginning in April, the customers included in this stage of the transfer will only receive electronic Statements of Services.

Customers will still have the possibility to switch back to the printed form of invoices. All they need to do is send a text message with SMS VYUCTOVANI A T to 4603 or set up printed electronic statements via My T-Mobile. However, with certain tariff plans, printed invoices are charged at CZK 19.15 incl. VAT in accordance with the respective terms and conditions.

Nevertheless, other contract customers who are not included in the transfer can set up electronic statements if they so wish, either via the Customer Centre (by calling 4603), at www.t-mobile.cz/evs or by at a T-Mobile shop.

More information about the change is available at www.t-mobile.cz/vyuctovanielektronicky.
