T-MOBILE TO OPEN A COMPETITION TO WIN AN HTC ONE (M8) WORTH MORE THAN CZK 80,000

Prague, 30 May 2014 – On Monday, 2 June 2014, T-Mobile will announce a competition titled “Glam up for a Phone in Gold” (Hoď se do zlata) to win a 18-carat gold-plated HTC One (M8) worth more than CZK 80,000. This device, the only one in the Czech Republic, will be awarded to the customer whose glamorous selfie is shortlisted by the contest’s discerning juror and gets the highest number of “likes” on Facebook. The operator will also offer a CZK 2,000 discount for the standard HTC One (M8) to clients who purchase the model via T-Mobile’s e-shop while signing a contract for any of the operator’s tariff plans.

The rules are as follows: people will take a photo of themselves in the guise of a star or a celebrity with their handset and upload the picture to T-Mobile’s Facebook page. Lenka Vacvalová, a presenter of fashion programmes and actress, will short-list the ten best selfies according to the predetermined criteria, which include in particular the contestants’ styling and outfit. The winner will be chosen by voting – the golden HTC One (M8) will be awarded to the person whose picture receives the highest number of “likes”. The competition will run for three weeks: the first week is dedicated to uploading pictures; during the second week, Lenka Vacvalová will pick the ten finalists, and voting will take place during the third week. The winner will be announced on 27 June.

T-Mobile has prepared an attractive offer for those who are not lucky in the competition. Customers signing or extending a contract with any tariff plan for two or three years via the operator’s e-shop from 2 June will have an opportunity to purchase a standard HTC One (M8) for with a discount of CZK 2,000, i.e., for CZK 14,499 instead of the original price of CZK 16,499. When extending their contract, customers will have the possibility to purchase the handset in instalments without interest; customers signing a new contract will pay the reduced price in full upon purchase. The offer is valid while supplies last.
