Prague, 4 November 2002 â?" RadioMobil will be offering its customers a new service â?" Video MMS. Shortly after launching the Multimedia Messaging Service, it will be possible to send, in addition photographs, short video sequences. The first phone allowing the use of Video MMS is Nokia 7650.
â?śVideo MMS represents another real breakthrough in mobile communication. For the first time ever, customers will be able to record short videos and send them to their friends or business partners immediately,â?ť says Jiri Dvorjancansky, Marketing Director of RadioMobil.
In order to be able to send video recordings using the Video MMS service, customers have to install software on their phones, which will be downloadable from www.t-mobile.cz free of charge. On the same address, customers will find instructions on how to install the application on their phones. The first phone to enable the use of Video MMS will be Nokia 7650. It will be possible to send video recordings via MMS to e-mail addresses and in the future directly to MMS-enabled mobile phones.
Video recordings sent via Video MMS to an e-mail address can be viewed on a PC with the help of the corresponding media player. If they do not have such a media player, together with instructions on installation, it is downloadable free of charge from www.t-mobile.cz, together with instructions on installation.
With the new Video MMS service, it will be possible to record, store, replay and send video sequences that are approximately 15 seconds longs and have a maximum size of 95 kB. The same price as that of a standard MMS will apply to video recordings sent via MMS (i.e. CZK 10 incl. 5% VAT). Video MMS will be available to T-Mobile customers in the course of November.
