T-MOBILE TO ENABLE CUSTOMERS TO PAY IN GOOGLE PLAY VIA THEIR STATEMENTS OR PREPAID CREDIT

T-Mobile is the first operator in the Czech Republic to offer payments in Google Play
The only condition is an activated T-Mobile m-payment service
The convenience of this simple payment method can be used by contract customers and prepaid Twist card users

Prague, 10 December 2013 – T-Mobile is the first operator in the Czech Republic to introduce payments in the internet Google Play store directly from Statements of Services in the case of contract customers or from prepaid credit in the case of Twist card users. The service is being put into operation gradually; in two --weeks all customers having a mobile phone powered by the Android operating system will have an opportunity to test the fast and safe payment method for mobile applications, games or music. The only condition is that they have an activated T-Mobile m-payment service.

“Buying products in Google Play will now be even more convenient for our customers as they will not have to enter their payment card data anywhere. They will pay simply within the Statement of Services or the amount will be deducted directly from their prepaid credit,” says Milan Hába, Vice-President of Category and Product Management at T-Mobile, adding: “I am confident that customers will appreciate this new service and will use it extensively.“

Google Play offers a myriad of applications, games and e-books, as well as 18 million songs. The principle of making a purchase in this internet store remains unchanged even if the new payment option is used; only when selecting a payment method, customers need to choose T-Mobile m-payment, which is automatically available to all non-business customers. The amount is then shown in their Statement of Services in the payment services section. 

For security reasons, the maximum amount of a transaction using m-payment is limited to CZK 1,500; the daily limit is set at CZK 3,000 (incl. VAT). Detailed information about m-payment, its activation and methods of use is available in My T-Mobile.

In the near future, the operator intends to offer this payment method also to users of other operating systems and social networks.
