T-Mobile: significant price cuts on data plans

Prague, 16 August 2010 - Beginning today, T-Mobile is offering its customers new data tariff plans and bundles designed for mobile surfing. Selected data add-ons will bring significant price cuts or double FUP limits to T-Mobile customers. The 3v1 ("3in1") bundle will offer DSL and mobile internet access apart from mobile voice service, all for one price.

"Simplicity is what we aim for with the new tariff plans. Customers do not need to worry about the technology or internet protocol they are using, whether they are surfing the internet or downloading e-mails. One charge will cover everything," explains Petr Dvořák, Marketing Director at T-Mobile, adding: "Users of the Internet na cesty ("Internet for travelling") plan will be offered a data limit of up to 30GB, so even the most demanding users will be satisfied."

Internet v mobilu ("Mobile Internet")
The offer of three bundles designed for mobile internet access using the GPRS/EDGE/3G technologies is intended for contract customers. It can be activated for an indefinite term or, with a  discount of up to 20%, for a fixed term (12 or 24 months). The most affordable Internet v mobilu Standard plan can be obtained for prices starting at CZK 110 including VAT. The price of Internet v mobilu Premium has been significantly reduced and the bundle will replace the current Internet+ add-on. Customers will now pay only CZK 499 including VAT per month, or only CZK 399 if entering into a two-year contract. FUP limit are set to meet the needs of demanding users as well. T-Mobile is aware of the increasing number of smart telephones in the network and is prepared to keep adjusting the limits if necessary. The third newly introduced plan, Internet v mobilu Klasik, is designed particularly for business customers and offers 200MB for prices starting at CZK 178.80 with a 24-month contract.

Internet v mobilu Standard, Klasik and Premium bundles are the successors of the popular Surf+, Surf&Mail+ and Internet+ plans. Customers who have used these plans under indefinite-term contracts can switch to the currently offered add-ons at any time.

Internet na cesty - Standard, Premium
Since yesterday, customers who are interested in having internet access outside their home or office and use a notebook for this purpose can choose from two plans: Internet na cesty Standard and Premium. The former is available for prices starting at CZK 399 including VAT per month with a three-year contract. The indefinite-term option costs CZK 499 including VAT per month. With its generous FUP limit of 30GB, the Internet na cesty Premium plan is an unrivalled offer.

Both plans can be used with any available data technology within the T-Mobile network: EDGE, UMTS FDD (3G) and TDD (Internet 4G). Customers may choose from three different kinds of end-devices: data card, USB stick or USB modem.

It will no longer be possible to activate the current data plans (Internet Basic, Internet Standard, Internet Premium). Customers who are using them will keep them until they decide to switch to a different plan.

2v1 and 3v1 bundles
The 2v1 (2in1) add-on for calls and fixed internet access within a single bundle is generally known. The current offer has been extended to include a purely mobile 2v1 bundle. The bundle combines Internet na cesty Standard and any of the voice tariff plans. If the customer's monthly fee for the voice plan is higher than CZK 600 including VAT, mobile internet will be CZK 200 cheaper. Instead of CZK 449 including VAT (price with a commitment to pay a minimum monthly payment for 24 months), mobile internet access will cost only CZK 249 including VAT.

The 3v1 (3in1) is a brand new bundle which combines mobile voice services and fixed and mobile internet access. If customers add Internet ADSL Standard without a fixed line and Internet na cesty Standard to their voice plan, they can save up to CZK 359 or CZK 449 respectively per month, depending on their monthly fees, which is exactly the price paid for mobile internet access alone. The 3v1 bundle makes it possible to use two internet plans for the price of one.
