Special sci-fi city mobile application
Festival application for Colours of Ostrava
“Build Your Own Sci-Fi City” contest for Samsung phones
Prague, 2 July 2013 – T-Mobile has prepared a special sci-fi city mobile application for the Rock for People and Colours of Ostrava summer festivals, of which it is a partner. The application is intended for smartphones with the iOS and Android operating systems. It is completely free of charge for visitors to both events and offers a number of unique functionalities. For example, it will be possible to enter the location of one’s tent in a digital map, making it easier to find it at any time. Furthermore, users can create a group of festival friends and keep track of their location. Another advantage is online registration, which puts an end to manually filling in paper forms. Last but not least, the application will enable its users to pay at the bar, where they will thus not need any cash.
The T-Mobile sci-fi city will be built on both festival premises and offer special cocktails and entertainment. Creative talents of the visitors will be tested by the operator in the “Build Your Own Sci-Fi City” contest, which will have a daily winner. The winners can receive a Samsung Galaxy SIII, Samsung Galaxy S4 or Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
“Looking for a tent, lost cash and worries about car keys are actual problems of the visitors. And competing and trying out new things is something they enjoy. We believe that, thanks to our application tailor-made for festival needs, we will eliminate a number of problems and further enhance people’s experience of the summer open-air festivals,” says Markéta Vychytilová, Senior Head of Sponsoring and Events at T-Mobile.
For the first time in the history of Colours of Ostrava, a festival application providing information concerning particularly the programme and performers will also be available to festival visitors thanks to T-Mobile.
In connection with both festivals, the operator will also offer its customers further benefits via its t-music.cz music portal. Until 14 July, clients who are planning to visit Colours of Ostrava can purchase an all-event ticket with a 10% discount. For Rock for People, T-Mobile has prepared, in cooperation with iTunes, a festival soundtrack that can be downloaded by its customers free of charge at t-music.cz/itunes until 5 July.
T-Mobile is also a partner of the Hrady.cz summer festival and a media partner of the Mighty Sounds festival. The operator is organising the third edition of the t-music Back to School festival in late September or early October on the occasion of the start of the new academic year.
