Prague, 31 March 2011 – So far this spring, T-Mobile has covered dozens more locations with its HSPA+ 3G network. The network’s density is increasing as the number of covered towns rises – this technology is now available to 42.5% of the population of the Czech Republic. The operator has also prepared two new offers for high-speed internet users: beginning tomorrow, the volume of data downloadable under the Internet na cesty Standard plan will be increased to 3 GB and customers will have an opportunity to try Internet na cesty free of charge for one week.
The latest additions to the locations covered with the 3G signal include Příbram, Písek, Kopřivnice, Chrudim, Svitavy, Uherský Brod and Rakovník. High-speed mobile internet access is now available to the residents of 97 cities and towns, as well as 232 smaller communities and villages. For a detailed coverage map, click here.
“The number of internet services used by customers on the go is continually increasing, as is the volume of data transferred. Our customers will certainly appreciate that, beginning 1 April, we are increasing the maximum volume of data that can be downloaded under the Internet na cesty Standard plan (FUP) from the original limit of 2 GB to 3 GB,” says Jiří Hašek, Vice President Category & Product Management at T‑Mobile.
This change applies to all customers. For new customers, the increased FUP will be applied upon the purchase of the plan; in the case of existing customers, the change will be effective from the next billing period. Internet enthusiasts can continue to use the possibility of purchasing an additional 1 GB of data for CZK 99.
Beginning tomorrow, customers can use the unique free one-week trial of Internet na cesty with the HSPA+ technology. At any T-Mobile shop, those interested can borrow for seven days a data SIM card together with the Huawei E1823 modem, which supports the HSPA+ technology, against a returnable deposit of CZK 2,000. T-Mobile customers will thus have an opportunity to test whether the internet access works everywhere they need to use it before making the purchase.
In view of the great interest in borrowing the equipment, the operator recommends making a reservation by e-mail. A list of all T-Mobile shops, including e-mail addresses, can be found here.
In addition to the possibility of borrowing the Huawei E1823 modem supporting the HSPA+ technology, customers can test the data connection with other models under the same conditions, but with a returnable deposit of CZK 1,000.
