Maximum simplification of the offer of calls and data services abroad, now only three zones
Price reduction in Europe as well as outside Europe
Extension of the Travel&Surf data bundles to include the whole world, price reduction
Prague, 6 May 2013 – Summer is rapidly approaching and T-Mobile has prepared a new offer of calls and data services for its customers travelling abroad. With the new T-Mobile Roaming plan, the services provided abroad have been simplified as much as possible: division of destinations into only three basic zones, two Travel&Surf bundles for data roaming and very attractive prices. The offer will be launched on 15 May.
“With the opening of the summer season, customers will surely welcome cheaper calls and a more transparent offer of services. We firmly believe that our services will also contribute to their wonderful experiences from their travels,” says Milan Hába, Vice President Category & Product Management.
T-MOBILE ROAMING
Roaming services will now be divided into only three basic zones and clients will not pay any activation or monthly fees.
If, for example, customers set out on holiday to Egypt, which has been shifted from the former Zone 3 to the new Zone 2, they will save nearly CZK 20 per minute on outgoing calls and more than CZK 24 per minute on incoming calls. One MB data will cost internet users CZK 345 less in this destination.
ZONE | OUTGOING CALLS | INCOMINGCALLS | SMS | MMS | INTERNET (CZK/MB) |
1 – EU, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Croatia | 7.47 | 2.18 | 2.48 | 12.00 | 14.00 |
2 – the rest of Europe, USA, Canada, Russia, China, Israel, Egypt | 35.00 | 18.00 | 9.60 | 16.60 | 75.00 |
3 – the rest of the world | 69.00 | 49.00 | 14.60 | 21.60 | 360.00 |
Prices are quoted in CZK incl. VAT. In Zone 1, incoming calls are charged per second (1+1); for outgoing calls the first 30 seconds are charged as a block and then the service is charged per second (30+1), data in 1 kB increments. In Zones 2 and 3, the billing scheme for both outgoing and incoming calls is 60+60; data are charged in 10 kB increments.
DATA ROAMING
The data roaming offer has also been improved with an attractive price reduction. Customers using the internet abroad can choose from two Travel&Surf bundles, which are newly available throughout the world:
Customers can activate the data volume in individual zones according to their needs and have the option to easily purchase more after using up the bundle. With a better price and longer period of validity, Travel&Surf 50 MB can be used by clients in a flexible manner whether they are going abroad for a few days, a week, two weeks or a full month.
ZONE | Travel&Surf na den (One-day Travel&Surf) | Travel&Surf 50 MB | |
(under 3 MB) | (3-20 MB) | ||
1 – EU, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Croatia | 24 | 70 | 185 |
2 – the rest of Europe, USA, Canada, Russia, China, Israel, Egypt | 60 | 240 | 850 |
3 – the rest of the world | 180 | 725 | 2,750 |
Prices are quoted in CZK incl. VAT.
All customers need to do to activate the bundles is send a free SMS in the form of, for example, TRAVEL DEN 1 or TRAVEL 50MB 1 (the last number varies according to the zone) to 4603 or they can activate them via My T-Mobile. Activation is free of charge.
Those who use the internet while travelling abroad can also use Travel&Surf 50 MB Nastálo (Permanent Travel&Surf 50 MB). This bundle is permanently active, but it does not start to be charged until the moment that the customer actually accesses the internet while abroad. It is thus not necessary to switch anything on and off, to activate anything or to make any calls.
The former World Class, Příchozí hovory Evropa (Incoming Calls Europe), Roamingové zvýhodnění EU (EU roaming add-on), Roamingové datové zvýhodnění EU (EU data roaming add-on), BlackBerry roaming, Travel&Surf na týden (One-week Travel&Surf) and Travel&Surf na měsíc (One-month Travel&Surf) bundles, which no longer meet customers’ needs or have ceased to make sense in view of the new offer, will be cancelled. T-Mobile Roaming will be activated automatically for all clients (with the exception of those with Frame Contracts and Important Customer Contracts) on the first day of the summer vacation season, i.e. 1 July. The Cestovatel (Traveler) add-on will remain active for its existing users; however, it will no longer be offered for new activation.
All clients to whom the changes apply will be informed in due time via all available channels – SMS, messages on invoices and on T-Mobile’s website.
