Prague, 28 August 2008 - Beginning this Saturday, 30 August, T-Mobile will offer its customers new, lower roaming prices that comply with the conditions set by the European Union. Contract customers can take advantage of the new rates if they activate or are already using the EU roaming add-on. For Twist users, the new roaming rates will be billed automatically. The prices of outgoing calls will drop by more than three crowns per minute and those of incoming calls will decrease by almost two crowns per minute.
Since its introduction one year ago, the EU roaming add-on has been activated by 1.3 million contract customers. This "European" billing of calls is assigned to Twist users automatically.
Starting on 30 August, both contract and Twist customers will pay CZK 11/min excl. VAT (CZK 13.09 incl. VAT) for outgoing calls within the European Union while incoming calls will cost CZK 5.20/min excl. VAT (CZK 6.19 incl. VAT). Prices of other roaming services (SMS, MMS, data transfers, calls outside the EU) are billed according to the basic roaming price list (Happy Roaming).
In addition to the regulated "European" rates, T-Mobile's offer for contract customers still includes the Cestovatel roaming add-on that allows significant savings particularly when making longer calls and offers favorable rates for all services - not only calls but also SMS and data transfers. It can also be used in the USA and a country especially popular with Czech tourists - Croatia - that is still waiting to join the EU. On the other hand, the EU add-on is a suitable solution for customers using only voice services when traveling in Europe.
The Cestovatel add-on is an important part of T-Mobile's roaming offer, which is demonstrated by the list of top ten foreign countries where T-Mobile customers use their mobile phones most.
