T-Mobile ProfiNet - integrated telecommunications solution for companies

Prague, 23 April 2008 - While there are fewer and fewer Czech households that would continue to use fixed-line phones, many business customers  still consider the traditional fixed-line number to be a guarantee of reliability. In addition to this, fixed-line data services providing high-speed internet access have also entered the game in a dramatic way lately. As T-Mobile thoroughly and continually evaluates the needs of its customers and endeavors to respond to them in an appropriate way, it has decided to launch the integrated T­Mobile ProfiNet solution on 5 May 2008 which will provide T­Mobile's business customers with all types of telecommunications services. These include voice and data services using both mobile and fixed-line connections, and even a Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution. And on the top of that, they can use up to 10,000 free minutes available with their tariff plans.

"Mobile phones have become fully established in Czech companies - their penetration within the corporate segment is almost 100%, whereas the penetration of fixed-line connections is steadily falling (the current figure is 57%). In spite of this, there are situations in which companies prefer to deal with using the conventional fixed-line network. These might include the company's internal communication, broadband internet access or, for example, customer support lines," says Miroslav Rakowski, Executive Vice President Sales at T­Mobile, adding: "At the same time, it is very efficient for many companies to purchase telecommunications solutions from a single supplier. That is why we have launched the integrated T-Mobile ProfiNet solution that covers customers' wide range of needs with converged telecommunications services."

T­Mobile extended its offer of mobile services with fixed-line data access in the form of the T-Mobile ADSL connection at the end of 2007. Now, with the new T-Mobile ProfiNet solution, corporate customers can use all the currently available mobile and fixed-line services, together with fixed-line voice services.

T-Mobile ProfiNet comprises a range of technologies that cover a company's whole spectrum of telecommunications needs. The provision of most services by a single supplier is very interesting for customers in many respects. The intra-company voice and data circuits can be connected through a private branch exchange and other active components straight into the T-Mobile network, thus providing the company's employees with secure access to their company servers and applications from their handsets and notebooks even when they are outside the company premises. In addition, all mobile and fixed-line phone numbers within a given company can be included in a Virtual Private Network within which people can call for favorable prices and use short codes for dialing numbers.

The choice of services comprising the integrated solution and the respective price plan are always adapted to the needs of each particular company. At the same time, the offered T­Mobile ProfiNet service remains a single, self-contained solution - the client does not need to configure anything in a complicated way or look for any additional installations; everything is taken care of by T-Mobile specialists. T­Mobile ProfiNet will soon be followed by other technologies and converged services.
