T-Mobile Private SMS Gate - An Ideal Solution for Sending SMS

Prague, 17 March 2003 - The new T-Mobile service Private SMS Gate is designed especially for corporate clients. This service will allow customers to operate their own gate for sending and receiving SMS within the company intranet or Internet. The Private SMS Gate can also be adjusted to the corporate style and connected with other corporate applications.

The Private SMS Gate is software that operates as a web server. For sending and receiving SMS, it uses a fixed connection to our SMS Centre (e.g. via T-Mobile SMS Connect), or to a mobile device with a T-Mobile SIM card connected to a computer (mobile phones, GSM modules). The application can also receive SMS via the respective connection and record them into as data.

The Private SMS Gate is an open system that can be adjusted to the corporate style and other requirements for visual aspects and the manner of communication with users. The web interface is saved on the disc in templates that are always loaded upon starting up the application and therefore, it is possible to adjust such templates anytime as needed. Moreover, the web interface is not the only possibility how to insert SMS - The Private SMS Gate can be interconnected with other corporate applications and SMS can be sent directly from these applications. 

To operate the Private SMS Gate, the MS Windows operating system in versions Windows NT 4.0 SP6 Workstation+, Windows 2000 or Windows XP must be installed. The version for the Linux operating system is being prepared.

The application for operating the Private SMS Gate, including more detailed information, can be found on the Internet under www.t-mobile.cz/psb.  Software can be downloaded free of charge and customers thus pay only the price for sending SMS according to the tariff of a service which they use for the connection of Private SMS gate to T-Mobile. Prior to deciding whether to use the application e.g. together with the SMS Connect service, customers can simply try it out with a connection via a mobile phone.
