Prague, March 16, 2020 – T-Mobile is aware of the seriousness of the current situation and therefore has decided to help its customers to digest at least part of their problems. With respect to the declared state of emergency the operator will offer its postpaid customers, both consumers and companies, unlimited data free of charge from Wednesday, March 18. This offer also applies to Czech citizens currently residing in EU countries; enabling them to stay in contact with their families and relatives. The operator is also expanding its television offering to make it easier for customers to spend the time at home. The offer is valid as of March 16 or 18, respectively, until April 30, 2020.
“We are fully aware of the seriousness of the current situation and we want to meet our consumer and business customers’ actual needs. The unlimited data offer them the possibility to stay connected with their families, schools and workplaces, and get all the needed information on the development in our country,” says Juraj Bóna, Chief Country Officer of T-Mobile Czech Republic, adding: “The time the customers will spend at home can be enriched by the best from our TV offer.”
As of March 18, contract customers will have the opportunity to use their mobile data in an unlimited way. The unlimited data can be easily activated in the My T-Mobile application. The offer is also available to the entrepreneurs who do not enjoy the benefits of a framework contract or a major customer contract.
As of the same date, Twist customers can use 50% of bonus credit on top up via Můj T-Mobile application or at www.t-mobile.cz. The bonus credit validity is 30 days.
At the same time, T-Mobile is temporarily expanding its television offer; customers can take advantage of having available additional channels. They could enjoy for example exclusive channels offered by T-Mobile: BBC Earth or Premier Sport.
The state of emergency is a considerable burden for companies and government institutions. To mitigate the impact of the current situation on the economy, T-Mobile enables unlimited data for free of charge by all customers under a framework contract. End users of such customers actively using data, can automatically use unlimited data from Wednesday, March 18.
Along with the possibility to communicate and have unlimited Internet access from anywhere, employees can also use other tools for collaboration and remote communication. As a major Microsoft partner, T-Mobile offers its experience and support in deploying and using Teams. Microsoft has announced its availability for free on its blog. Companies and government institutions will need sufficient transmission speeds to ensure conditions for employees working at home. That’s why T-Mobile also increases transmission speeds of their internet connection and VPN connections.
“These days, we strive to make business and private lives of our customers as easy as possible. At the same time, we ask them for patience and support if any temporary technical problems occur during the activation of unlimited data. We shall try to remove them as soon as possible,” explains Juraj Bóna. “As we want to help protect the health of the public and our employees, we ask customers to visit our stores only in urgent cases and prefer using the My T-Mobile application or the www.t-mobile.cz portal for solving their problems. We thank in advance for the understanding and helpfulness.”
