A fast way of purchasing extra game bonuses
10,000 purchases by computer during the first month
Prague, 4 April 2013 – T-Mobile is the first operator in the Czech Republic to introduce for its customers the option to pay for purchase of credits for Facebook games via an internet browser on a mobile phone. For contract customers, payment is made directly from the Statement of Services. For pre-paid Twist card users, it is deducted from their credit. The only condition is having the m-payment service activated.
Facebook provides its users with a whole range of free games, such as FarmVille, Top Eleven and Mafia Wars, to name just a few. The basic forms are free of charge for players; however, the games can be enhanced with all kinds of extra bonus features, which are charged.
The principle of purchases via m-payment is already well known. All the payer needs to do is select the “mobile phone” option when choosing the method of payment in their internet browser. The payment will then be made via T-Mobile’s m-payment service, which is automatically available to all non-business customers. Contract clients will then find the amount in their monthly Statements of Services under the payment services section. For Twist customers, the amount is immediately deducted from their credit.
Purchase of Facebook credits directly in the Facebook application on our customers’ mobile phones is only available for mobile phones with the WindowsPhone and Blackberry operating systems.
10,000 purchases made
Since February this year, T-Mobile customers have been able to make fast online payments for Facebook credits on their computers using the m-payment service via their telephone accounts. After entering their phone number, users receive a security code via SMS, with which they confirm their purchase in the web browser window. The initial popularity of this payment method has been astounding, with more than 10,000 purchases made within a single month since this service was launched.
For security reasons, the maximum amount of one transaction via m-payment is CZK 1,500 and the daily limit is CZK 3,000 incl. VAT. Detailed information on m-payment, its activation and possible uses is available to all customers in My T-Mobile.
As interest in payments via mobile telephones grows, the operator is trying to continuously offer its customers new possibilities while further developing this service and implementing new solutions.
