T-Mobile introduces the best roaming offer

• The Cestovatel (Traveller) roaming add-on can be activated starting on 15 January
• Call home from T-Mobile countries for only CZK 4/min + a call set-up fee
• Incoming calls for only the price of the call set-up fee

Prague, 16 January 2005 - As of mid-January, there are two new attractive offers for owners of mobile phones. First, customers may take advantage of switching to another operator while keeping their phone number. Second, all T-Mobile contract customers can now enjoy significant savings when calling from abroad. With Cestovatel, a Happy Roaming add-on, T-Mobile customers can make calls from abroad for the price of only CZK 4 per minute plus a call set-up fee. This offer, whose launch was announced in mid-December, applies to all countries where T-Mobile operates its networks, including the Polish operator ERA. This concerns nine countries where the roaming traffic of Czech customers represents almost three-quarters of all roaming traffic of Czech customers. Other rates and prices of calls made outside the T-Mobile networks will be charged according to the Happy Roaming rates in force.

"With this roaming add-on, customers no longer need to worry about the high prices of roaming calls, as the calls are charged at prices comparable to the prices for calls within the Czech Republic," comments Roland Mahler, Managing Director of T-Mobile, when introducing the new roaming offer.

The best prices from nine countries
The new roaming add-on may only be activated with Happy Roaming. Upon paying the activation fee of CZK 29 excl. VAT (CZK 34.51 incl. VAT), customers can significantly reduce their roaming charges when using a mobile phone in the countries where T-Mobile operates its networks (i.e., Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Great Britain, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia and the USA). The special price applies to calls made from T-Mobile networks abroad within the visited country and to the Czech Republic to all mobile and fixed-line networks, with the exception of phone numbers subject to special rates.

With this favourable add-on, customers will pay a call set-up fee in the amount of CZK 29 (34.51 incl. VAT) and then only CZK 4 (4.76 incl. VAT) per minute. Customers can thus take advantage of benefits resulting from T-Mobile's membership in a large international group.

The Cestovatel add-on allows significant savings particularly when making longer calls. For example, a ten-minute call from the aforesaid nine countries to the Czech Republic will only cost CZK 69 (82.11 incl. VAT). For a call of the same length made from Austria, a customer who does not use Cestovatel would pay nearly triple the price, as such a call is charged by the Czech mobile operators at CZK 20.67 (24.60 incl. VAT) per minute at least.

Even more significant savings can be achieved when calling from the USA. A call from the USA is usually charged at CZK 30 or more per minute. With Cestovatel, customers will pay for a ten-minute call, which would normally cost at least CZK 300, only CZK 69, a savings of 77%.  

Incoming calls of any length* in the T-Mobile networks are charged with Cestovatel only at the price of the call set-up fee in the amount of CZK 29 (34.51 incl. VAT). For a twenty-minute incoming call, a customer will thus pay only CZK 1.45/min (1.73 incl. VAT).

Other roaming services (SMS, MMS, GPRS roaming, calls from other networks) are charged according to the Happy Roaming zone-based rates.

Activation
This add-on may only be activated with an active Happy Roaming tariff (including the Happy Holiday Roaming variant). This offer applies to all contract customers.

Customers can activate this add-on by calling the Customer Centre (4603 or 603 603 603), on the website under My T-Mobile, via WAP, or by sending an SMS with ROB A CES to 4603. In T-Mobile Retail Shops, this add-on may only be activated when activating a SIM card or switching from Twist to a tariff.

In most cases, the phone will automatically register with the T-Mobile network abroad; however, we recommend that customers check the set-up or, as the case may be, select the T-Mobile network manually.

Note: *The maximum length of a call is limited to 65 minutes.
