T-Mobile introduces: Mobile Office Optimizer

• Up to 10x faster connection to the Microsoft Exchange server
• Truly mobile Microsoft Outlook - thanks to MMO the application can easily be used when travelling

Prague, 30 April 2003 - T-Mobile offers a new service called Mobile Office Optimizer which is designed particularly for the business customers. This service allows you to use the Office applications when travelling, just as easily as in the office, and provides an effective access to the company's network or the Internet. Thanks to optimization and compression, the amount of transmitted data is significantly reduced in comparison with standard data transmission.

"The Mobile Office Optimizer has been specially developed for a mobile use of the Microsoft Outlook application. Thanks to this, you can quickly and easily take care of your e-mails and arrange the dates of meetings in your notebook when travelling. New e-mails will be automatically delivered to you, the header and the text of an e-mail will be fully displayed, and if desirable, you can also download attachments. You will be informed about the dates of new meetings entered in your calendar as soon as they reach the company's network," says Jiří Hájek, the spokesman for T-Mobile.

Advantages and benefits of the Mobile Office Optimizer
MOO optimizes the access to the company networks and the Internet from the customer's mobile end device (notebook, PDA...). In comparison with the non-optimized connection via GPRS, MOO can provide up to 10x faster connection to the Microsoft Exchange server. Another advantage is a more effective mobile use of the Microsoft Outlook application. Customers can thus work with their MS Outlook in the same way as in the office where they are connected to a local network (even in the off-line regime). Thanks to the Push function, users can be kept informed about new e-mails and meetings in the calendar. Optimization and compression in real-time enables a fast and convenient sending and receiving of e-mails, while the time and cost savings are as far as 80%. Last but not least, MOO allows a highly effective work with attachments. Attachments are indicated in a standard manner, customers can open or save them when needed, and attachments are compressed during the transmission.

In order to be able to use the Mobile Office Optimizer application, a company server with Windows NT 4 / Windows 2000 (or another MOO server to ensure the redundancy), Microsoft Exchange 5.5 / Microsoftâ Exchange 2000 and the APN Intranet or connectivity to Internet with a fixed IP address, are a must.

Ordering the Mobile Office Optimizer software
Customers can test the Mobile Office Optimizer application free of charge for a period of 90 days, through the software supplied on CD (it is only valid for data transmission under the GPRS tariff). During the test period it is possible to access the server with three clients. If the customer decides to fully use the Mobile Office Optimizer, he can order required number of client licenses. One of the advantages of the software is the simple installation and integration into the customer's company environment. Moreover, T-Mobile offers professional assistance via its installation partners in the so called Datacentres.
