Prague, 1 July 2002 â?" RadioMobil has prepared a number of new services for its customers. Starting 2 July, Twist card users who often communicate with other T-Mobile subscribers can activate the new, attractively priced Twist Extra tariff. In addition, all Twist card users can obtain a new mobile phone for a special price every two years. There is also a special offer for the users of prepaid services who decide to switch to any of the standard tariff programmes. For fun and leisure, T-Mobile is offering the download of EMS animations.
â?śOur July offer is another confirmation of the promise we gave to T-Mobile customers â?" that they will get more. I believe that this offer will satisfy the needs of all Twist users for whom, in particular, it is designed,â?ť says JiĹ?í Hájek, press spokesman for RadioMobil.
Twist Extra tariff
The Twist Extra tariff is suitable especially for those Twist users who often communicate with other T-Mobile customers. Calls to T-Mobile numbers at off-peak times, on public holidays and weekends are charged at the rate of CZK 2.20/min, one SMS sent to the T-Mobile network costs just CZK 1.40. The remaining rates are identical to Twist Standard.
After activating Twist Extra, the user is deducted a monthly fee of CZK 59 from his or her credit (if activating this tariff from the 15th day of the respective month onwards, the fee amounts to CZK 29.50) and then he or she can start using the attractive rates within this tariff. If the customerâ??s credit is not high enough on the first day of the following month, Twist Extra is changed back to Twist Standard automatically, free of charge.
This means that T-Mobile customers using the prepaid Twist services can now choose from three tariff options â?" Twist Standard, Twist SMS and Twist Extra. They can make their selection by calling the voice system on 4601, while the switching to or from Twist Extra or another tariff is always free of charge.

Switching from Twist to a standard tariff
Twist card owners can choose from four options of switching to a standard tariff programme, while keeping their existing number.
The first option is the T-Mobile HIT tariff, in which case the customer signs a two-year contract with RadioMobil. The customer will then enjoy attractive rates â?" calls starting at CZK 2 and SMS messages from CZK 1 within the T-Mobile network, while his or her telephone number remains unchanged. In addition, there is no activation fee and it is possible to order partner SIM cards. Furthermore, the customer is entitled to a subsidized phone.
If switching to a standard tariff without the HIT add-on, the customer will sign an open-end contract, in which case there is again no activation fee and the customer can obtain partner SIM cards. The rates of calls within the T-Mobile network start at CZK 2.50 per minute and SMS can be sent for prices starting at CZK 1.
If users decide to switch to a standard tariff, they can get a new, subsidized phone. In that case, the activation fee depends on the time for which the respective card has been active (owners of cards that have been active for less than one year will pay the standard fee of CZK 2,999, owners of older cards will be charged CZK 1,999).
The last option is to switch from Twist to T-Mobile Partner. In such a case, a customer can switch from his or her Twist card to a partner card of a friend or relative who has already entered into a Subscriber Contract with RadioMobil and who meets the conditions for the use of T-Mobile Partner. The Partner card user will then be able to enjoy attractive calling rates starting at CZK 2 per minute and SMS rates from CZK 1, without having to pay any activation or monthly fees.
EMS animations
Since May, users of selected Alcatel and Ericsson phones have been able to download ringtones and pictures in the EMS format. Now there are also EMS animations available for download. They can be saved in the mobile phone, combined with text or ringtone and sent as EMS messages.
Users can download EMS animations onto their phones or someone elseâ??s phones. They can be ordered using WAP, by sending an SMS to 5005 or on the internet on www.t-zones.cz (registration in t-zones is required in order to be able to send EMS messages from the web interface).
Customers will pay CZK 29.80 per ordered EMS (incl. VAT). The sending of SMS and use of WAP is charged based on the customerâ??s tariff.
T-Mobile in the Czech Republic
On 18 April, the change of the brand name Paegas to T-Mobile was officially launched. The rebranding is another significant step within the integration of RadioMobil into one of the largest international groups of mobile operators, T-Mobile International. RadioMobil is currently one of the most dynamically developing members of the T-Mobile group. Together with the operators in Austria, Germany, the UK and the USA, it is among the first five operators to change its brand completely. The rebranding to T-Mobile will not place any requirements on customers â?" the existing telephone numbers, services used and tariffs selected will not be affected. RadioMobil is the first and so far the only national operator in the Czech Republic to bring its customers the benefits arising from membership in a global telecommunications group.
