Prague, 1 September 2003 - "The market is already saturated but the real battle for customers is only starting. The one who offers the highest value for the money will be the winner," said Jiri Dvorjancansky, Executive Vice President Marketing of T-Mobile, introducing the new strategy. To attain this objective, T-Mobile will be offering special services for individual customer groups at maximally favourable prices. The offer, which was introduced today, is the first step in this strategy and a number of other new offers are being prepared for the coming months.
Tariff Weekend +
Motto: "On Saturday and Sunday, I feel like calling all of my friends and I finally have the time to do it."
On weekends and holidays, all customers using any of the currently offered tariff programmes* will pay only 50 hellers per minute for calls: they only need to activate the Weekend + tariff add-on on the respective tariff. At the monthly fee of CZK 29, they will be able to enjoy the most favourable rates on weekend calls on the market, even in comparison with the price of a local call in the fixed network. Furthermore, from 15 September till 15 November, customers will be able to make calls for just 50 hellers per minute without having to activate and pay the above-mentioned monthly fee. All customers will thus have the opportunity to find out how favourable the service is for them and decide whether they activate it after this special offer ends.
(The price of CZK 0.50 is without 5% VAT)
* This applies to the 3G tariffs (Tariff 20 Start, Tariff 20 Start Hit, Tariff 80, Tariff 80 Hit, Tariff 200, Tariff 200 Hit, Tariff 400, Tariff 400 Hit, Tariff Student).
Tariff Student
Motto: "In summer, I always have a summer job in England, I won't be paying the monthly fee on holidays."
Students can interrupt the use of their card with the activated Student tariff for up to twelve weeks, without having to pay the monthly fee. This fee is an unrivalled CZK 190 and it provides customers with fifty free minutes for calls to all Czech networks and 30 free SMS sent to the T-Mobile network. In addition, this student tariff offers free trials of services, namely the opportunity to send three multimedia messages, download three motifs (for example, a ringtone, logo and Java game) from the Downloads offer at t-zones and find three businesses or services within the Navigator service free of charge. Calls beyond the free minutes are charged at the rate of CZK 3.50/min at peak times and at CZK 1.90/min at off-peak times when calling within the T-Mobile network and when calling fixed lines; calls to other mobile networks are charged at CZK 4.50/min. An SMS sent beyond the free SMS costs CZK 1.
(The prices do not include 5% VAT.)
Tariff Twist Home
Motto: "I don't call my family at home very often; it's too expensive."
T-Mobile is the first to specially address foreign citizens. There are over 700 thousand representatives of the major national groups of foreigners living in the Czech Republic, which is approximately 10 percent of the relevant market share. With the Twist Home tariff, T-Mobile is offering them a solution in the form of very favourable calls to their home destinations â?" plus information leaflets in their mother tongues. Calls to Slovakia will cost CZK 4.50/min to the fixed network and CZK 7.50 to the mobile network. Calls to the Ukraine and Russia will be charged at CZK 7.50/min; calls to China will cost CZK 9.50/min and users calling to Vietnam will pay CZK 19. All calls within the Czech Republic are charged at a single rate of CZK 4.90/min and SMS will cost CZK 3. However, Twist Home is not restricted to foreigners â?" it can also be used by Czech citizens who often make calls to the above destinations.
(The prices include 5% VAT. The favourable prices of calls abroad apply to calls made via the I-Call service).
