T-Mobile increases the speed of its Pevný internet fixed-line internet service

The new XL tariff plan will provide speeds of up to 250 Mbps for the monthly fee of CZK 799
The L tariff plan offering speeds of up to 100 Mbps will be newly available also in the VDSL access variant

Beginning on 1 February 2018, T-Mobile is increasing the speed of its Pevný internet ("Fixed-Line Internet") service by supplementing the existing S, M and L tariff plans with the new XL tariff plan, which will offer maximum download speeds of up to 250 Mbps and will be available in the VDSL access variant. The L tariff plan offering maximum download speeds of 100 Mbps, which has so far been available only in the LTE access variant, will newly also use VDSL access from the date stated above. Details regarding the new offer of Pevný internet are provided in the table below:

T-Mobile offers Pevný internet in two access variants – via VDSL or LTE. When customers express their interest in activating any of the tariff plans available within this service, the operator always chooses the more appropriate of the two variants in terms of availability in the particular location. If both technologies are available, the operator recommends the variant that provides better quality access at the given place.

Last year was the most successful year for T-Mobile in terms of Pevný internet activations – the number of users of this service grew by 31% as compared with the previous year. The improvement of the offer of tariff plans is part of the strategy of convergence of mobile and fixed-line services within which the magenta operator is primarily focusing on, among other things, expansion and improvement of fixed-line access.
