T-MOBILE EXTENDS LTE COVERAGE TO MOST OF PRAGUE’S POPULATION

Prague, 10 July 2014 – T-Mobile has launched its LTE network in more parts of Prague. The operator’s fastest internet service is now available to more than 75% of the population of the Czech capital.

“We have made another important step towards fulfilling our promise that the signal of our fastest mobile internet will be available to all residents of Prague by October this year,” says Milan Hába, Vice President Category and Products at T-Mobile, adding: “Naturally, we haven’t forgotten about rural areas and we will soon announce the launch of LTE in other districts.”

The following districts of the Czech capital are newly covered with LTE signal – Střížkov, Kobylisy, Prosek, Vysočany, Libeň, Karlín, Bubeneč, Nové Město, Smíchov, Malá Strana, Hradčany, Josefov, Strahov, Cholupice, Písnice, Kunratice, Průhonice, Vestec, Hrnčíře, Šeberov, Nupaky, Kolovraty, Uhříněves, Benice, Netluky, Koloděje, Dubeček, Dubeč, Horní Měcholupy, Újezd nad Lesy, Klánovice, Běchovice, Šestajovice, Satalice, Březiněves and Ďáblice.

T-Mobile is planning to soon launch LTE in Prague’s areas of Velká Chuchle, Točná, Zličín, Ruzyně, Střešovice, Letná, Holešovice, Dolní Chabry and Staré Město. In August, the LTE network will be expanded to Radotín, Slivenec, Zadní Kopanina, Hlubočepy, Barrandov, Řeporyje, Stodůlky, Zličín, Motol, Liboc, Veleslavín, Vokovice, Nebušice, Břevnov, Radlice, Lysolaje, Sedlec, Bohnice, Trója and Čimice. In September and October, the remaining areas of Prague will be covered with the LTE signal.

The operator is also continuing to cover rural areas with its LTE network. In summer, T-Mobile plans to launch LTE in parts of the districts of Česká Lípa, České Budějovice, Domažlice, Jičín, Louny, Prachatice, Příbram, Strakonice and Tachov.
