Prague, 2 August 2011 – For the seventh consecutive year, T-Mobile will support the non-profit sector and distribute another two million Czech crowns for community projects and development of non-profit organisations. The maximum grant amount is CZK 100,000 per project; the deadline for submitting applications is 9 September 2011.
“The environment in which we live, create and raise new generations is extremely important. We have therefore decided to continue with the “Healthy Planet” topic introduced last year in its full extent,” says Petra Pavičová, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at T-Mobile, adding: “Projects supporting a responsible approach to the places where we live or which in one way or another enhance the lives of people we share such places with will have the chance to receive a grant.”
The much needed funds will be awarded to non-profit organisations and communities in the regions where T-Mobile's customer centres are located, i.e. the Hradec Králové region and the Louny district.
Support will be provided to projects organised on the initiative of local people and which correspond to the current needs in the location concerned while also inspiring people to play an active role in the community. They may include, for example, projects supporting local landscape maintenance, enhancement of public areas, minor repairs of cultural sights, green living and transportation as well as other necessary projects supporting the development of communities in the particular areas.
Projects must be implemented in the period from 1 December 2011 to 30 November 2012.
Since its establishment in 2005, the T-Mobile Fund has supported nearly 590 projects. Upon completion of the latest round, the operator will have contributed nearly CZK 39 million to the non-profit sector.
