T-Mobile expands its offer with VDSL internet

• VDSL services now charged at the same rates as ADSL services
• Available speeds of 16 and 25 Mbps

Prague, 1 September 2011 – T-Mobile is extending its offer of fixed-line internet services for households and companies to include VDSL services. Where permitted from the technological standpoint, new customers will be able to use the fastest internet access for the same prices as in the case of the ADSL technology. New tariff plans have been prepared both for customers paying a monthly fee for a fixed line and for the “naked” VDSL variant.

Where available, the VDSL technology will replace the current ADSL technology. Users will always get the fastest possible speed available at their place of residence or business. For a limited period, the offer can be used upon conclusion of a new contract; existing customers will have the possibility to switch from ADSL to VDSL at a later date.

Discount for internet with a voice tariff plan
Internet users with an activated voice tariff plan from T-Mobile can save up to CZK 350 on faster internet access. If they use a tariff plan with a monthly fee of less than CZK 600 incl. VAT, they can purchase Internet Standard – without a fixed line for CZK 489 incl. VAT (the standard price is CZK 699 incl. VAT). In the case of a monthly payment for a voice tariff plan exceeding CZK 600, fixed-line internet access is available for an even lower price – CZK 399 incl. VAT. Customers can also get a discount when combining a voice tariff plan and Internet Premium.

To be able to use the VDSL connection, customers need a new modem supporting this technology. Beginning on 1 September, T-Mobile offers ZyXEL P-870HN-53b modems which, in addition to the VDSL technology, support the ADSL2+ technology and feature WiFi connection and an integrated firewall. Upon conclusion of a contract, the device can be purchased for prices starting at CZK 499. The basic price is CZK 1,799 incl. VAT.
