Prague, 2 July 2002 â?" Today marked the official end of the change from the local brand Paegas to the global brand T-Mobile. As a result, RadioMobil customers will now encounter only the new brand T-Mobile. The Paegas brand is no longer going to be actively communicated.
â?śThe advertising campaign accompanying the brand migration was launched on 2 April and continued for exactly three months. We consider the campaign to be very successful. This has been confirmed by the results of surveys we have had conducted,â?ť says Roland Mahler, Managing Director of RadioMobil.
According to the surveys performed by Research International after the first two months of the campaign, fifty percent of respondents spontaneously named the T-Mobile brand as the brand of one of the mobile operators. When asked if they knew the T-Mobile brand, no fewer than 87 percent of respondents answered in the affirmative.
Starting today, the T-Mobile brand will appear not only in the network name but also in the names of services, on SIM cards and displays of all new telephones. On displays of the phones and SIM cards which have already been sold and that allow this change to be made, the network name will be changed in the course of July by the automatic sending of the T-Mobile name. The actual rebranding does not place any requirements on customers â?" it does not affect their telephone numbers, services used or tariff selected. Users of prepaid services will continue to encounter the Twist name.
An entirely new name â?" t-zones â?" has been given to the service so far known as Click. In addition to the new name, t-zones brings a complete change of design and structure. As a result, the portal will offer increased user comfort due to simple and easy navigation. The t-zones portal has been developed based on the experience with similar mobile portals of the subsidiaries in Austria, Germany and the UK.
The new names of tariffs, products and services can be found in the annex which forms part of this press release.
