Prague, 26 August 2008 - This autumn and winter, members of the T-Mobile Bonus program can text till they drop: if they choose the new special benefit, they will pay only CZK 0.50 incl. VAT for one text message sent to the T-Mobile network.
Beginning on 1 October 2008, "Weekend Text Messages" to the TMCZ network for CZK 0.50 incl. VAT will replace the current "Night Calls" benefit. The special SMS rate can be used by all customers registered in the program who decided not to collect Bonus points but use the currently provided special benefit and have been topping up or spending the required amount depending on the "age" of their T-Mobile phone number.
Cheaper text messages will be billed to customers throughout the weekend from Saturday 0:00:00 until Sunday 23:59:59 and all day on public holidays. This is certainly good news as the calendar for the coming period offers, in addition to two public holidays, traditional days of SMS frenzy - Christmas and New Year's Day.
Making calls or sending text messages at special rates has been part of the T-Mobile loyalty program since 2004. Until this year, it was only available to Twist customers, but since the transformation of T-Mobile loyalty programs into a uniform T-Mobile Bonus program this benefit can be chosen by both Twist and contract customers.
In previous years, T-Mobile offered, for example, weekend calls to the T-Mobile network for one crown, every fourth SMS free, nighttime on-net calls for one crown or the Morning Warm-Up - text messages from 6 a.m. to noon for CZK 0.50. Special benefits are very popular, particularly among Twist customers. Out of the impressive number of more than 2 million loyalty program members, approximately 40% are using the current special benefit.
Those who cannot use the special benefit for some reason - e.g., they are not enrolled in the T-Mobile Bonus program or, if they are, they decided to collect Bonus points instead of using special benefits - can still send cheap text messages on weekends. Twist customers can opt for the Twist SMS Víkend 300 add-on, while contract customers can activate the SMS Víkend+ add-on.
