Student tariff plans are among the most popular tariff plans in T-Mobile’s offer; they are currently used by nearly 123,000 customers. Young customers can start the new school year with the brand-new Student DATA tariff plan which is intended for users aged 6-26. Priced at CZK 499 per month incl. VAT, the tariff plan includes a 10 GB data allowance in addition to 100 free calling minutes and 100 text messages. As compared with its predecessor, the Student tariff plan (CZK 449), it offers 4 GB more data for CZK 50. The new tariff plan can be purchased by both new and existing customers – those who already have any student tariff plan (they can switch to the new tariff plan at any time during the term of their contract) as well as others, who can switch from the prepaid Twist card or extend their contract with the Student DATA tariff plan. The only condition for activating the plan is age – customers cannot be more than 27 years old.
Young customers using any of the student tariff plans – Student, S Námi pro mladé (“With Us for Young Customers”) – are active users indeed: every month, they spend approximately an hour and half calling, send on average 5 to 6 text messages per day and use approximately 2 GB of data. A third of the customers with an activated student tariff plan are registered under the Magenta 1 offer and happily use the shared data within their families. The existing tariff plans for young customers previously offered a maximum of 6 GB of data and therefore it is no wonder that some customers exceed the data allowance within their tariff plan and use one of the supplementary data bundles. These customers will surely appreciate the advantageous new tariff plan offering a 10 GB data allowance.
Beginning on 1 September 2018, the Student DATA tariff plan can be purchased through all standard sales channels. When purchasing the tariff plan, customers need only to submit a document proving that they have not celebrated their 27th birthday yet (the operator does not require the ISIC card). In the case of customers younger than 18, the contract can be concluded by their legal guardian after having submitted the child’s birth certificate or another document proving the child’s age and identification.
