Real-time display of cars on a map
Savings of up to 30% of costs of car fleet management and operation
Simplification of paperwork, advanced statistics
Prague, 2 April 2014 – T-Mobile has launched a car monitoring service under its own T-Mobile Autopark ("T-Mobile Car Fleet") brand. The service makes it possible to track the movements of cars in real time, evaluate the course of individual journeys and generate various statistical outputs. T-Mobile Autopark uses the GPS system to track the location and speed of cars. It also features a web portal allowing customers to monitor their car fleets on a clearly arranged display.
"T-Mobile Autopark can help customers save up to 30% of the costs of car fleet management and operation," says Miloš Mastník, Vice President Business Marketing at T-Mobile, adding: "Other advantages include, for example, a decreased administrative burden, simplified records, possibility of checking the course of business trips and the fact that the amount billed for this service is included in one invoice together with other services from T-Mobile."
Customers can access information on their car fleets on the website at https://autopark.t-mobile.cz. Therefore, they do not need to invest in purchasing additional hardware or software. Moreover, a mobile application will be available soon. In addition to real-time display of cars on an interactive map, the service offers a number of other functions, such as search for a particular place, the optimum route, electronic driving logs of cars and drivers, travel assignments and allowances as well as fuel consumption analyses and suspicious-activity reports.
The GPS system used to determine the position and speed of a car enables precise location tracking with variance of only a few percent. If necessary, customers can enquire about the current position of a car via SMS. The GPS unit with a SIM card and the T-Mobile Autopark plan is installed below a car's dashboard. Additional, optional peripheral devices, such as driver identification, a business- and private-use switch, etc. are also available. The portal where car fleet information is displayed can also be connected with the customer's internal systems and the data collected can thus be directly transferred to the company's internal processes.
T-Mobile is the exclusive partner of the spring event Fleet Day 2014 ("Den s Fleetem 2014") organised by the Czech Fleet magazine. At the event, which will be held on 14 May at the Kaskáda Golf Resort near Brno, the T-Mobile Autopark solution will be presented to fleet managers and representatives of corporate customers who might be interested in the service.
