Prague, 27 January 2004 - As of 31 December 2003, T-Mobile registered 3,947,415 customers. The number of customers increased by 12% year-on-year. For the second time in a row, T-Mobile recorded the largest increase in customer numbers compared with all mobile operators in the Czech market. During the last quarter of 2003 alone, 256,000 new customers chose T-Mobile as their operator.
"Last year, we announced that we wanted to become the No. 1 operator in the Czech market and took the first successful steps towards this goal. Our strategy is based particularly on the â?˜keep it simple' motto," says Roland Mahler, Managing Director of T-Mobile, adding: "The numbers achieved clearly show that customers appreciate such approach â?" they gladly accepted our clearly-structured portfolio of services within the Tariff Epidemic campaign, as well as the simple Christmas offer. The strength of the international brand also contributes to our success."
A large number of new customers was also recorded in the business segment. The most important additions to the range of business customers in 2003 were companies such as Unipetrol, Škoda Auto, DHL, Toyota Peugeot Citroen Automobile and GEHE.
