T-Mobile at CeBIT 2005 - under the motto "Together we are strong. The link between us", T-Mobile invites all trade fair vistors to Hanover from March 10 to 16 to try out powerful innovations for mobile communications, for example multimedia cellphones and services, attractive tariff models and mobile technology of the future. All offers are based on three strategic growth areas - T-Mobile is to consistently develop user-friendly mobile Internet services for work and play, point the way with cost-effective and simple tariffs and push "seamless mobility", i.e. integrated end-to-end network platforms.
With the MDA IV, T-Mobile will be presenting the world's first mobile device that integrates GPRS, UMTS and W-LAN mobile technology. In addition to more PDA phones (Personal Digital Assistant) in the T-Mobile portfolio, visitors can expect to see the latest GPRS and UMTS-enabled multimedia cellphones and multimedia services. A showcase on HSDPA technology (High Speed Downlink Packet Access), the turbo for UMTS, and a special W-LAN lounge provide an insight into what rapid mobile data communications will enable now and in the future. Attractive new tariffs complete the offer.
The T-Mobile exhibition area is located at the Deutsche Telekom stand in Hall 26, Stand A 01. Germany's leading mobile operator will also be informing visitors about new offers for SMEs in a specially constructed pavilion in front of trade fair hall 26. ´The focus will be on a range of services related to BlackBerry.
HSDPA - innovative mobile communications technology
As a pioneer of trends and innovations, T-Mobile will this year also be showing innovative showcases on mobile communications subjects of the future. One main focus will be the new HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) mobile technology, a further development of UMTS that enables mobile data transfer at speeds of up to 3.6 Megabit per second. In theory, top speed of up to 14.4 Megabit per second are possible. T-Mobile will be presenting this new technology live at CeBIT with a data card and laptop. Speeds of up to 1.8 Megabit per second can already be reached with this prototype.
Attractive multimedia services and cellphones and tariff offers
T-Mobile will also be revealing new offers and innovative multimedia devices for rapid and convenient Internet access when out and about. Trade fair visitors will also be able to find out more about and test topics like video telephony and videostreaming. Another trend -the "Push to Talk" walkie-talkie service that T-Mobile introduced last November as the first mobile operator in Germany.
Attractive multimedia services such as taking photos and filming with cellphones, downloading ringtones and music, entertainment with cellphones games - T-Mobile will also be revealing many new features in this area at CeBIT. Trade fair visitors will also be informed about new aspects of the Relax tariffs and special tariff offers such as the CombiCard Teens. This new young person's tariff enables parents to fix a budget themselves to optimally control the costs of their children's' mobile communications.
Innovative solutions for the mobile office
With "Office in your Pocket", T-Mobile is presenting innovative communications solutions for the "mobile office". This includes, for example, the new MDA IV. The mini laptop is the first mobile communications device to integrate the GPRS, UMTS and W-LAN mobile technologies and provides T-Mobile customers with fast, broadband data connections practically anywhere and anytime - to send e-mails, download large files, search the Internet or access the company Intranet. Further offers for processing e-mails when out and about, products and services for seamless mobile communications in T-Mobile's broadband networks and the Multimedia Net Card round off the extensive portfolio.
Laptops will be available in a separate W-LAN lounge for visitors to convince themselves of the benefits offered by the rapid mobile technology. In a special exhibition area in front of Hall 26, T-Mobile will be presenting a range of BlackBerry solutions especially for all those who want to be up to date when out and about. Interested customers will be able to find out about the latest devices and their uses in companies or special sectors.
