The LTE truck on tour across the entire Czech Republic
Not only people but also LTE+ from T-Mobile is setting out on a journey in summer. Beginning in June, the fastest mobile internet is available at the majority of large reservoirs and lakes across the Czech Republic; LTE also covers nine main motorways and expressways. Additionally, the operator covered another 124 cities and communities with LTE in June. Customers can learn about the advantages of LTE+ in the LTE truck that will be touring the entire Czech Republic in summer.
Lakes, roads, communities: covered
T-Mobile customers can now conveniently browse the web also when relaxing at large reservoirs and lakes, as the LTE network now covers the Brno Reservoir, the Dalešice, Hracholusky, Jesenice, Lhota, Lipno, Nové Mlýny, Orlík, Rozkoš, Seč and Slapy reservoirs and Lake Mácha.
The cities with the best coverage with the fastest mobile internet over their entire territory include Prague, Brno, Mladá Boleslav, Klatovy, Blansko, Benešov and Kopřivnice. In June, they were joined by Plzeň, Karlovy Vary, Cheb, Prachatice, Velké Meziříčí, Kuřim and Humpolec. The fastest mobile-internet experience is also available to customers in Telč, Kaplice and Světlá nad Sázavou. By the end of the year, LTE coverage will be expanded to include all regional capitals in the Czech Republic.
T-Mobile is also continuing to cover the country’s main roads: more than 75% LTE coverage is now available to customers travelling on the following Czech motorways and expressways: D1, D2, D3, D5, R1, R46, R48, R55 and R7.
Additionally, the operator has launched several new features on its coverage map. Users now can, for example, find out about the planned LTE coverage until the end of this year or check the areas covered with LTE-Advanced technology, which enables download speeds of up to 225 Mbps.
Current campaign
T-Mobile customers can now come across the international summer campaign focused on the new-generation LTE+ network. LTE+ is the new designation of the operator’s LTE network, which is based on three pillars: thanks to VoLTE, which T-Mobile was the first to launch in the Czech Republic, the LTE+ network offers premium quality of calls; the technology meets the strictest security standards of Deutsche Telekom and, thanks to LTE-Advanced, offers speeds of up to 225 Mbps.
In summer, not only festival-goers in the Czech Republic can come across the T-Mobile LTE truck. In addition to entertainment and competitions, the LTE truck offers customers the possibility to update their SIM cards or replace their old SIM cards that do not support LTE for SIM cards that do support the new technology. T-Mobile employees will also offer the operator’s data services. During its summer tour, the LTE truck will stop at the following destinations on the following dates:
