SMART CAR FEATURES NEW ASSISTANCE SERVICES INCLUDED IN THE PRICE, AVAILABLE FOR CZK 1 IN JUNE

Services include assistance, vehicle towing and provision of a replacement vehicle in the Czech Republic and the other EU countries
Free assistance services are now available to new and existing users of Smart Car from T-Mobile
In June, the Wi-Fi Smart Car device can be purchased for the subsidised price of CZK 1 

Beginning on 1 June 2018, all customers purchasing the Smart Car (Chytré auto) service from T-Mobile can rely on assistance services that will help them when they have trouble. The assistance services will be available both to new and existing Smart Car users free of charge as part of their contract plan or prepaid service. The assistance services worth CZK 1,500/year are arranged for T-Mobile by ÚAMK (Ústřední auto moto klub, Central Auto Moto Club), colloquially known as the “Yellow Angels”, which is the traditional provider of assistance services and a partner of motorists not only in the Czech Republic but throughout Europe.

The assistance services include, among other things, dispatching and work of a mechanic when drivers encounter any problems on the road, vehicle towing in the case of a breakdown, loaning a replacement vehicle, alternative  accommodation or alternative transportation for passengers and a 24/7 info line in Czech and English.

“Summer is approaching and with it the moment when Czechs head out on holiday in the Czech Republic and abroad. Thanks to the new addition in the form of free assistance services, the previously introduced Wi-Fi connection for all passengers on board and the special price of the device, which is just CZK 1 in June, now is the best time to purchase the Smart Car service,” explains Ota Mráz, DT Connected Car Hub Senior Manager, adding: “I am certain that children will appreciate in-car Wi-Fi while travelling to holiday while their parents will appreciate the assistance services in case they have any trouble.”

New and existing customers can activate the service by downloading the latest version of the Smart Car application from Google Play and AppStore and accepting the terms. Customers can start using the assistance services 24 hours after their activation.

Smart Car Wi-Fi Standard (Chytré auto WiFi standard) is priced at CZK 249/month and includes a 5 GB data allowance; the Wi-Fi Premium variant offers a 20 GB data allowance for CZK 499/month. The standard prices of the device are CZK 1,499 and CZK 499, respectively (though it is available for CZK 1 in June). Customers can also activate a variant without internet access, which transmits information on, for example, driver behaviour, location, route, malfunctions and battery level to the mobile application.
