SE Xperia PLAY exclusively from T Mobile

Prague, 26 April 2011 – T-Mobile is the only operator in the Czech Republic to bring its customers the first smart phone with PlayStation certification. The new Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, which will appeal particularly to game-console fans, will be available from 2 May 2011 until the end of June exclusively from T-Mobile. Within the smart-phone special offer, customers who commit to a minimum monthly payment of CZK 500 can purchase the handset for CZK 8,499. 

The new Xperia Play model offers all the features of a standard touch-screen smart phone with the Android 2.3 operating system, modern technologies and multimedia functions, including a 5Mpix camera and tools for social networks. Fast graphics and dedicated game-control buttons guarantee a great gaming experience for players. 

The handset comes equipped with six preinstalled games: One Crash Bandicoot, Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior, FIFA 2010, Sims 3, Star Battalion and Tetris. The latest version of one of the best car-racing titles, Asphalt 6, will be freely downloadable. The offer also includes more than 60 games by the current biggest providers of gaming content, such as Sony Computer Entertainment, Gameloft, Electronic Arts and Glu Mobile. 

Dozens more games can be downloaded using the Xperia Play Launcher application that is easily activated by sliding out the gaming panel. The application will recommend the best games and enable searching for titles optimised for this model at the Android Market.

New as well as existing customers can save up to several thousand crowns when purchasing the phone. All they need to do to obtain this smart phone at a discount of up to CZK 4,500 against the standard subsidized price is to sign or extend a contract (for two or three years) and activate the Internet v mobilu Klasik bundle priced at CZK 238.80 CZK incl. VAT per month or, in the case of more discerning users, the Internet v mobilu Premium bundle for CZK 499 incl. VAT per month.
