Prague, 14 June 2010 - T-Mobile has been the general partner of the Rock for People festival under the t-music brand for three years. The festival will kick off in three weeks. Again this year, T-Mobile has organized many activities for fans of the country's biggest festival. In addition to traditional events, T-Mobile will offer rental of scooters, the possibility to hand in old telephones in return for a reward and an SMS contest with attractive prizes.
iPhone Contest
The Hradec Králové airport will host the 16th annual Rock for People festival from 3 to 6 July. While waiting for the show to begin, fans can test their knowledge in an SMS contest. The main prize is the iPhone 3GS with a special Rock for People skin and a SIM card with the BAV SE tariff plan free of charge for one year. A Staropramen coolkeg will also be up for grabs.
Other prizes include three iPhones with a Rock for People skin and a SIM card with CZK 400 credit, Staropramen coolkeg and 50 gifts with a RfP theme. Customers of all operators can compete for the prizes by sending an SMS with RFP space START to 900 11 03. The price of one SMS is CZK 3 including VAT.
t-music zone and t-music sky
Just like last year, T-Mobile will again put up a double-decker t-music sky tent offering an even better view of the t-music stage featuring such bands as Muse, The Subways and Dreadzone. Free tickets to "heaven" will be provided only to T-Mobile customers, who will enjoy a unique direct view of the stage as well as a great bar. Apart from that, there will also be a game section on the ground floor where everyone can try the first on-line PC-game rental in the Czech Republic.
T-Mobile customers can also activate a free SMS info channel allowing them direct access to all the news relating to the Rock for People festival, including an up-to-date programme and possible changes. As a gift, each customer will receive a special beer chair where customer can drink beer and relax.
Similarly to previous years, the t-music zone will be available to all visitors, with free internet access via notebooks and free WiFi within the zone and its surroundings. Music fans can relax by playing foosball or renting a scooter. Fans of scooters will enjoy everyday competition in which they can win mobile telephones or a "flight ticket" to the t-music sky bar.
The t-music zone will also offer the popular recharging corner where festival-goers can charge their phones using not only standard chargers, but also environmentally friendly solar and kinetic chargers.
Top-up coupons in exchange for old phones
The environmentally friendly chargers will be complemented by other green activities at the festival. Besides sorted-waste bins, the t-music zone will enable the visitors to hand in their old phones for recycling. T-Mobile customers will thus not only contribute to improving the environment, but will also get a top-up coupon worth CZK 100. T-Mobile will donate CZK 10 for each such mobile phone to support a gorilla rescue project in Africa.
