RadioMobils Board of Directors Has a New Member

At yesterdays meeting of RadioMobils Board of Directors changes were made in the composition of this top body of the Company. The Czech manager of the Company, Marketing Director Robert Chvátal replaced Moritz Gerke, who ended his activity in Deutsche Telekom and resigned from RadioMobils Board of Directors, as a Member of the Board of Directors. This means that RadioMobils Board of Directors will be now composed of - Ing. Alex Bém (Chairman of the Board), Michael GĂĽnter (Vice-Chairman of the Board), Ing. Miroslav ÄŚuĹ?ín, Ing. Gustav Hraška, CSc., Fridbert Gerlach and Ing. Robert Chvátal.

"The fact that it is another Czech manager who will become a Member of the Board of Directors of a company whose majority owner is one of the most significant European mobile operators - the German T-Mobil, is an evidence of the fact that T-Mobil perceives RadioMobil as a fully-fledged and developed member of the European association of mobile operators," said Alex Bém, chairman of RadioMobils Board of Directors. "Furthermore, the appointment of another member of the executive management of the Company as a Member of the Board of Directors is a sign of trust in the Companys management."

RadioMobil that will celebrate five years of its existence in the Czech market in the next days, has in such a relatively short time become one of the most successful Czech companies. The factors which have contributed to this success are not only the quality of services which the Company offers its customers but at the same time a very professional approach of its employees and management.

The joint-stock company RadioMobil is the operator of a GSM 900/1800 MHz network called Paegas. Since 1996, when RadioMobil entered the Czech market and brought in competition, it obtained more than two million customers. RadioMobil sells prepaid services under the brand Paegas Twist, which is the most successful prepaid service in the Czech market, providing its users with a whole range of services such as data and fax connection, GSM Banking based on the SIM Toolkit standard, Paegas Assistant services, access to WAP services and furthermore it offers a free e-mail ClickBox Easy. Paegas Click is another brand of RadioMobil, focused on customers with Internet or WAP access. At www.click.cz they can easily configure services as well as for instance use a comprehensive e-mail box based on the unified messaging technology. RadioMobil belongs to the Deutsche Telekom Group - one of the worlds biggest telecommunication operators. Through its subsidiary company T-Mobil (Deutsche Telekoms mobile operator) it owns 92.136% in the CMobil consortium. Other shareholders of CMobil are: STET Mobile Holdings N.V. (7.164%) and PVT a.s. (0.7%). The international CMobil consortium now owns 60.8% of RadioMobil whose second biggest shareholder is the company ÄŚeské radiokomunikace.
Today, the Paegas GSM network covers over 99% of the Czech population and 99.8% of first class roads. Only during the year 2000 the number of transmitters increased by 750 and thus reached 2500 by the end of the year. Last year, investments only in the network exceeded nine billion crowns. RadioMobil customers may use their mobile phones in networks of 209 operators from 90 countries of the whole world (127 various locations altogether). By the end of February 2001, more than 2,000,000 customers were using Paegas services.
