RadioMobil, the GSM Paegas network operator, will support a concert in the Vinohradské divadlo theatre with an amount of CZK 400,000. The concert supporting the IVth Internal Clinic of the 1st Medical Faculty in Prague, will present actors from Semafor theatre. The profit generated by the show will be donated to the Clinic. The support of this Clinic is not a coincidence since RadioMobil has already been cooperating with it for three years and has donated millions of CZK crowns for its support.
RadioMobil, in general, supports the health care sector with substantial amounts. For example this weekend, it supported another event in Divadlo bez zábradlí theatre whose income will be used for purchase of an ultrasonic diagnostic instrument for the Youth Clinic of the 1st Medical Faculty UK, VFN Prague. Also, the company donated a million Czech crowns for purchase of a dialysis unit for children in the 1st Childrenâ??s Clinic of the Faculty Hospital in Motol, Prague and last year, it provided more than one million crowns to this hospital for reconstruction of the central childrenâ??s admission facility via the foundation Nadace Archa Chantal. In addition, doctors as well as patients awaiting transplantation of vital organs from this Prague hospital have available to them free Paegas mobile phones.
This year, RadioMobil extended its activity aimed at help for sick children in the Moravian region. In cooperation with the foundation Nadace Archa Chantal, it supported the reconstruction of the Childrenâ??s Ward of the Psychiatric Clinic in Brno with an amount of CZK 1,500,000.
Today, GSM Paegas network covers over 99% of the Czech population and 99.8% of first class roads. RadioMobilâ??s customers may use their mobile phones in networks of 192 operators from 86 countries (in total, 116 various locations). During 1999, RadioMobil invested over CZK 5.5 billion in the network and in 2000, it plans to increase its investments to more than CZK 10 billion. By the end of September 2000, more than 1,500,000 customers were using Paegas services.
