RadioMobil Rises On The Chart Of The Most Admired Czech Companies

  • More than 1300 experts have decided that RadioMobil deserves the title of the most admired telecommunications company in the Czech Republic for the second time
  • In total rating Paegas won the fourth place and was hence four places better compared to last year

The RadioMobil Company, the operator of the Paegas GSM network, was named the most admired telecommunications company and the fourth most admired company in the Czech republic by the Czech expert public. The Czech TOP 100 association has drawn up the chart of "The 100 Admired Companies" for the second time now. Last year RadioMobil also became the most admired telecommunications company and in the total ranking it won the eighth place among 500 companies. This year, its preferences further rose significantly, it won the fourth place in the chart among more than 600 companies. "It is pleasing us even more since it is a qualitative and not a quantitative assessment," the gazetteer Tereza Kakosová said. "We have been on the top places for the second year now, next to companies such as Škoda of Mladá Boleslav, with the only difference that we have been barely four years on the market."

This fact evidences not only RadioMobil´s qualities, but also the changes of trends in the society. For the top places of similar charts all over the world have been won by mobile phone network operators and internet companies in recent years. A range of strict criteria decide about the ranking - it is primarily the quality of products and services, innovation ability, financial attractiveness, long-term value of the company, management quality and the ability to attract and keep talented people. A part of the assessment, which is carried out by companies´ top managers and economic analysts, is also responsibility towards the environment, openness and communication.

"Although last year we received 12 awards altogether from many sides - from both experts and public - the title of the most admired telecommunications company is quite symbolic for us," Tereza Kakosová said. "It is so thanks to the fact that in this case a total of nine independent criteria from many areas decide about the placement, and we received various awards in those areas during the year. Therefore the title of the most admired company is for us an evidence of the previous awards not being coincidental."

Also the facts that according to surveys of AIESEC in 1999 Radiomobil is among the first ten of the most desired employers in the CR and the most desired employer among mobile operators generally evidence RadioMobil´s image.

RadioMobil Incorporated is the operator of the GSM network called Paegas, which today covers over 99 % of the Czech population and 99.8 % of first-class roads. Customers can use a Paegas GSM mobile phone in networks of 170 operators from almost 80 countries of the whole world. In half of March 2000 more than 1 000 000 customers used the services of the Paegas GSM network, into which RadioMobil invested 6 billion crowns only during 1999, which is a billion more than the other operator. Paegas hence became the leading operator on the Czech market by the number of new activations, when it acquired more than 500 000 new customers in 1999 as the first in the Czech mobile market history and over 125 thousand new clients during the first weeks of 2000.
