Based on the principle of SIM Toolkit technology are three new services that RadioMobil, as the only operator in the Czech Republic, offers its customers for whom the Paegas mobile phone is an indispensable help for their work. Paegas Locator, Paegas MobilChange and the Tailor-Made SIM Toolkit Application can be used by the mobile phone owners who own the most up-to-date SIM card in the Czech market, Paegas Profi SIM, designed for customers who have concluded a General Agreement with RadioMobil. With its parameters, the Paegas Profi SIM card is the most up-to-date SIM card in the Czech market.
Paegas Locator allows localisation of turned-on mobile telephones in the field. The service, which is functional only if the mobile phone owner wishes, will for example make the life easier for a number of companies whose employees travel very often and need to stay in touch with their dispatchers.
The employee who wants to be informed of the movements of his or her colleagues in the field has map software installed in his or her computer equipped with a GSM module. The software communicates with mobile telephones whose owners gave him/her consent with that. The dispatcher will then simply via computer send an inquiry about the location of a particular telephone which is shown on the computer screen. The location of the mobile phone can be identified with the greatest accuracy in densely populated areas in which also the density of base transceiver stations is at the highest level.
â?žWe expect that a lot of companies will be interested in Paegas Locator,â?ś said the Managing Director of RadioMobil Roland Mahler. â?žSome foreign operators have been already offering similar services and their customers have quickly got used to using them. These services not only help to achieve greater work effectiveness but they are also cheap and easy to use.â?ś
Another service that can be used by owners of the special Profi SIM card is Paegas MobilChange. This service allows controlling Microsoft Outlook directly from the mobile telephone, which can be otherwise accessed only from oneâ??s own computer. The user just selects the respective option in the Paegas MobilChange menu and the program via the SIM Toolkit technology sends an inquiry to the Microsoft Exchange server where the employeesâ?? Microsoft Outlook files are located. The Paegas MobilChange software identifies the user on the basis of his/her telephone number and promptly sends him/her new e-mail messages (which can be immediately answered from the mobile phone or forwarded) or allows him/her to consult the calendar or address book.
However, the companies make frequent use not only of universal programs, but very often they need special applications for their work. For such purposes, RadioMobil offers them the Tailor-Made SIM Toolkit Application that allows installation of any SIM Toolkit application in the Profi SIM card. RadioMobil will create a SIM Toolkit menu customised exactly to the needs of the company that will be interested in this service. The customised SIM Toolkit will most often come in useful in business to business (B2B) applications, such as warehouse management. The salesmen can thus order goods from their suppliers or check their stock levels.
The Paegas Profi SIM card which allows the companies to use these services has the same parameters as standard Paegas SIM cards (including memory space for 200 telephone number entries). All customers who have concluded a General Agreement with RadioMobil can obtain this card from sales representatives of the company. The Paegas Profi SIM card includes Paegas Locator and Paegas E-mail as default applications and at the same time there is space for the installation of any application â?" such as Paegas MobilChange or the Tailor-Made SIM Toolkit application. With its parameters, the Paegas Profi SIM card is the most up-to-date SIM card in the Czech market and its functions can be used in the majority of handsets available in the Czech market.
â?žWe were the first ones to introduce the SIM Toolkit technology and the customers learned to use it on a large scale,â?ś explains the Managing Director of RadioMobil Roland Mahler. â?žExactly for services based on this technology we were awarded the title of the most innovative GSM operator in the world. At that time the GSM Banking service was already very popular and in addition to its popularity it has been gaining more and more respect.â?ť
This week GSM Banking received another award for innovation, this time from the Comenius Foundation, organiser of the Czech TOP 100 survey. The foundation presented the award to RadioMobil representative at the official opening of the Banking and Finance Forum that took place in the Pragueâ??s Congress Centre. â?žIn view of the fact that the number of companies interested in Paegas services is growing, we have decided to offer them also the above mentioned special services based on the very successful SIM Toolkit technology.
