RadioMobil Gained The Best of Invex 2001 Prize
Prague, October 17, 2001 â?" The RadioMobil Company Gained The Best of Invex 2001 Prize for its Paegas Navigator service yesterday. The service enables the client to search for near objects without the necessity to input the place where the client is at the moment. RadioMobil is the only telecommunication operator to have won that prestigious appreciation this year.
The Best of Invex 2001 Competition have had the aim of drawing attention to interesting and innovative products, services and technologies presented within the scope of the Fair. In the jurys opinion, these products are worth of attention because of untraditional or interesting solutions, or because they introduce new processes in the world of information technologies or consumer electronics. The Best of Invex is declared by four publishing houses: Computer Press, IDG Czech, Trade & Leisure Publications and Vogel Publishing. This year, the jury composed of ten representatives of professional periodicals awarded only nine prizes of the possible ten.
"We value very much that the expert jury has appreciated our Paegas Navigator service, the technology of which was fully developed by the RadioMobil Company. All who took part in the technical solution of the service, thus confirmed our position of an innovator once again," says Mr. Robert Chvátal, Marketing Manager and member of the Board of the RadioMobil Company. "We are the only operator on the Czech market that offers services based on cellular phone location technology to the wide public. We shall go on trying that the cellular phone may become, by means of our modern services, an always more comfortable information and communication terminal in which the client shall appreciate also its very easy operation."
The Paegas Navigator service makes orientation in unknown environment throughout the Czech Republic easier for a cellular phone owner. It enables the client to search for different types of objects in the clients surroundings, e.g. a pharmacy, hospital, cash dispenser, cinema, car repair shop or hotel. At the same time, the client doesnt need to input the place where he/she is manually, Paegas Navigator finds out the location by itself.
After the user inputs the item of the sought object in the Paegas Menu of his/her phone, the users location is automatically found out, and the Paegas Navigator service will send the information about the requested object by means of a SMS. The SMS of reply to the clients answer contains the name and address of the object. Some items also include phone number and further information (e.g. working hours). The user of the service can obtain as many as nine replies to one answer. The price for sending out the demand to search for an object is paid for as sending of an SMS message according to the clients tariff. The client pays 2 CZK (5 % VAT excluded) for each reply.
The whole technical solution of the Paegas Navigator service was developed by the RadioMobil Company. The content of the individual sections is supplied by six companies at present â?" PJSoft, s.r.o.; Global Sport Marketing Agency, s.r.o.; Computer Press, a.s.; Position, s.r.o.; EuroNet.cz, s.r.o. and E-media, s.r.o.
The Paegas Navigator can be taken advantage of by all clients of the Paegas network, including owners of Twist prepaid cards, whose SIM card supports the service. The present clients of the Paegas network can change their SIM card at Paegas brand shops for the fee of 400 CZK. New clients will obtain a SIM card supporting the Navigator service on request for standard price.
