RadioMobil has been awarded the first prize of the Global Mobile Commerce Forum in the Banking and Financial Services category. The award of the international association of mobile business companies whose aim is to promote the development of mobile commerce around the world was given to the Paegas GSM Banking service. About 70 products of international companies were nominated for the GMCF contest and it was Paegas GSM Banking that best fulfilled the criteria for the most innovative service that offers real benefit for the customers in banking, share trading, insurance or other financial services.
The GMCF Award is already the second international prize awarded to this service: It won recognition for the first time in 1999 when RadioMobil, also thanks to GSM banking, received the GSM Association award for the Best Technological Innovation. Moreover, GSM Banking became the Product of the Year 1998 in its category in the Czech Republic.
â?žRadioMobil was the first operator to introduce to the market a banking card allowing its users to manage their bank accounts via Paegas mobile phones,â?ś explains JiĹ?í Hájek, RadioMobil spokesman. â?žNearly 200 thousand clients have grown accustomed to using these services since then. GSM banking is a classic example of modern trends in mobile communication â?" the mobile phone will fulfil a much wider range of functions than just serve as communications means as it used to be originally. It will become more of a terminal in the future that will make our lives easier. RadioMobil once again confirmed its position of an innovator when it offered GSM banking to its customers long before the other operators already three years ago.â?ś
Clients of six banks â?" eBanka, ÄŚSOB, ÄŚSOB â?" IPB commercial network, Poštovní spoĹ?itelna, Union banka and GE Capital â?" can take advantage of GSM Banking services. The customer only needs to visit his or her banking house and have the respective application loaded.
