Prague 17 September 2009 - This autumn is really interesting for T-Mobile customers who are music fans. Having re-introduced the Bav se s Mých5 tariff plan for young people, which enables free access to 300,000 songs, the largest Czech operator is now offering the possibility to participate in a contest for 200 tickets to Pink's concert in Prague.
Customers who are interested can sing a karaoke song and be included in the contest. They can visit any of the selected T-Mobile shops where the contest is gaining in popularity: 350 people participated in the singing contest within the first ten days. Even a Michael Jackson impersonator sang in Prague's Příkopy on Monday, September 14.
Another possibility is to sing a karaoke song in a taxi with T-Mobile colours which is now available in Prague, Brno and Ostrava and will give a free ride to any T-Mobile customer who sings a song and allows it to be recorded. The ride must be within the city and the taxi is reserved for contestants and their friends who can support them in singing.
Contestants can also record a karaoke song when they visit any of the selected multiplex cinemas in Prague, Ostrava and Hradec Králové. The best ones will be included in a special video clip with Pink, which will be shown in all participating cinemas. The prize will not only be a free ticket to the cinema but also the possibility to win a ticket to Pink's concert.
Finally, those who cannot make use of any of the above-mentioned opportunities or who are shy to sing in public can sing and record one of the ten karaoke songs at www.t-mobile.cz/bavse and try to get as many votes as possible. In just the first week, over 90,000 visitors viewed this page and 400 contestants recorded songs.
"We wanted to prepare something special for our customers as part of the ongoing campaign. Even though the tickets for Pink are an attractive prize, we were afraid that customers would be too shy to sing. But we were pleasantly surprised. The competition is very popular and the majority of contestants are really good singers," says Miroslav Jiřík, Senior Head of Direct & Online Communication at T-Mobile.
