Paegas Offers Five WAP Supporting Phones

• Only Paegas offers the widest range of WAP supporting phones in the CR
• Two Twist sets sold for only CZK 3 999 (incl. VAT)
• Every customer gets a Czech national football team dress free with an activation or a purchase of a Twist set or a Twist card

There is another phone supporting the WAP standard based services in the sales network from June. It is the Siemens S35i mobile phone, which is sold for CZK 9 999 (w/o VAT) when purchased with activation. Today only Paegas offers five WAP supporting phones altogether:

"With Paegas, everyone can choose exactly what suits him/her best. This applies to tariff programs, services and it also applies in the case of phones. That is why we are trying to give our potential customers a choice of WAP supporting phones as well," the spokeswoman of RadioMobil Tereza Kakosová said, and added: "The widest offer of services and phones is our strategy."

However, there is a whole range of other phones in prices starting at CZK 1. Most of them are dual and the majority of them also support GSM Banking services. "A great number of our clients already use GSM Banking actively and many people interested in GSM services choose Paegas because of this service. Now there are almost 600 000 phones supporting GSM Banking among our clients. No other Czech operator offers such a simple and simultaneously absolutely safe way of controlling ones bank account anytime and anywhere (abroad as well)," Tereza Kakosová specified. Owners of dual phones will make the most of them from the beginning of July when RadioMobil activates its transmitters in the 1800 MHz frequency range. "The customers wont even recognise whether they are using GSM 900 or 1800 MHz," Tereza Kakosová explained.

The widest offer of prepaid sets
Paegas now offers 13 various mobile phones in Twist sets. At the same time, two of them support the WAP standard. It is the Motorola Talkabout T2288, which was later supplemented by Siemens C35i. It is an extremely well equipped phone, which will probably become one of the best-selling phones on the Czech market thanks to the favourable price with regard to the functions it offers. The overwhelming majority of sets sold contain a dual phone and most of them support GSM Banking as well. "Paegas Twist is the most successful prepaid service in the CR thanks to the prices and services it offers. No other Czech operator offers prepaid clients GSM Banking, assistance services (Paegas Assistant 333) or for instance WAP based services," Tereza Kakosová added.

Also during June every customer who activates a regular tariff program or buys a Twist set or a Twist card gets a Czech national football team official dress as a present. Paegas is the general partner of the national team, who start fighting for the advance to the finals on 11th June in Amsterdam in a match with the Netherlands. "We will cross fingers to our footballers and we believe we will be rewarded by their good results," Tereza Kakosová concluded.

 

RadioMobil Incorporated is the operator of the most dynamically growing GSM network in CR. During 1999 over 500 thousand new customers decided for its services, which is the highest number in the history of mobile communications in CR. The Paegas GSM network today covers over 99 % of the Czech population and 99.8 % of first-class roads. Customers can use a Paegas GSM mobile phone in networks of 171 operators from almost 80 countries of the whole world. In 1999 RadioMobil invested more than 5.5 billion crowns in its network, and for 2000 it plans investments exceeding 10 billion. At the end of March 2000 over 1 050 000 customers were using the Paegas services.
