On April 1 RadioMobil extended the validity of its Paegas Twist coupons from six to 12 months, thus lowering the average monthly cost of a Paegas mobile phone to 33 KÄŤ, or less than 1 KÄŤ 10 halers a day. Whatâ??s more, coupon holders can utilize the
entire coupon amount. â?śThe services of the best GSM operator in the world really are accessible to everyone today, and at a very affordable price,â?ť said RadioMobil spokeswoman Tereza Kakosová of the extended validity date. Paegas Twist customers can also send text messages and take advantage of Paegas Info, Paegas E-mail and Paegas SIM Toolkit.
Customers can currently choose from among four different Paegas Twist sets. The Motorola d520 set, which supports SIM Toolkit, is available for 4,999 KÄŤ (including VAT), while the Alcatel One Touch Club set and the Nokia 5110 set, both of which are already Twist members, are available for 5,999 KÄŤ and 8,999 crowns, respectively. A new addition to the Twist program is the Siemens C25 with SIM Toolkit support, for 7,499 KÄŤ.
Subsidized telephones
One newcomer among subsidized phones is the Siemens C25, a dual telephone which supports both the GSM 900 and 1800 standards as well as SIM Toolkit. Weighing in at only 130 grams, the C25 nonetheless boasts a strong set of features, including standby time of up to 100 hours and five hours of talk-time. It is available in April for only 999 KÄŤ (not including VAT).
A second newcomer is the Nokia 6150, another dual device which supports SIM Toolkit. The 6150 is nearly identical to the 6110 and is on sale at Paegas dealers for 7,199 KÄŤ. The Nokia 5110 also saw its price cut by nearly half, and is now available for only 1,599 KÄŤ. In addition, sale prices will remain in effect for the Motorola d520, available for 999 KÄŤ, and the Bosch GSM Com 608 for 1 KÄŤ. Finally, two phones are on sale for 1,999 KÄŤ: the Siemens S10 and the Panasonic G520.
Each activation earns 1,000 KÄŤ coupon from ÄŚedok
All first-time customers who sign on with RadioMobil before the end of June of this year will receive a 1,000 KÄŤ coupon from ÄŚedok good on its holiday packages.
RadioMobil, a.s. is the operator of the
GSM network called Paegas. Its largest shareholders are ÄŚeské radiokomunikace a.s., with
51 percent, and the international consortium CMobil, which holds a 49 percent stake.

network today provides coverage to 96 percent of the Czech population. Customers can take
their Paegas GSM mobile telephones to 64 countries around the world and utilize the
roaming services of 119 operators. More than 440,000 customers used Paegas GSM services in
March, 1999.
