Paegas Customers Can Send Short Messages Also to Fixed Lines
Prague, 13 November 2001 â?" RadioMobil offers a new service â?" Voice SMS. Since yesterday, all Paegas customers can send short text messages (SMS) also to fixed telecommunications networks in the Czech Republic.
â?žA number of services which we offer to our customers and which utilise state-of-the art technologies have confirmed our position of innovator and mobile market leader. Another service of this kind, which we are the first national operator to introduce, is the Voice SMS. Thanks to this service, our customers can now send text messages also to fixed lines, to everyone who does not own a mobile phone,â?ť said Robert Chvátal, RadioMobilâ??s Marketing Director and Member of the Board.
The Voice SMS service gives Paegas users the opportunity to send voice messages to Paegas mobile phones, as well as fixed-line phones throughout the Czech Republic. Using the text-to-speech technology, the sent message is at first transformed into voice and then delivered to the selected phone number. The voice messages can be both in Czech and English.
Voice SMS â?" Description of the Service
A customer who wants to send a voice SMS shall create a message in the following format: VOX<recipientâ??s phone number>_<text of the message> and send it to 4616. For Czech, the format is CTI<recipientâ??s phone number>_<text of the message>. After the message has been sent, the SMS delivery system will call the recipientâ??s number. If the recipient is not answering, the system will make two more attempts, 10 and 30 minutes after the first call. If the recipient is a Paegas user, an incoming call from +420 603 123322 will appear on the mobile phone display.
After the call has been received, the system will at first read the caller the introductory delivery information and then twice the text of the message. Czech text messages also include diacritics (accents) when read out. After the voice SMS has been successfully delivered to the selected phone number, the sender will receive a confirmation SMS.
The customer can also set up the time when the message is to be sent. In that case, the text message must be in the format: +<HHMM>[ddmm]_VOX<recipientâ??s phone number>_<text of the message>, where <HHMM> is the hour and minute of delivery, [ddmm] is the day and month of delivery.
If the text of the message starts with a Paegas Info keyword, the system will replace the text of the message with the content of the respective Paegas Info channel.
