Offer of Free Week of Paegas Info and Paegas Info Plus Increased Interest in These Services by Almost 100%

• In a single week the absolute number of required pieces of information increased and so did the number of unique telephone numbers that sent a requirement
• RadioMobil is considerably extending the number of Paegas Info Plus news channels

By up to 97% increased the number of pieces of information requested within the Paegas Info and Paegas Info Plus services during a single week. The number of unique telephone numbers from which the SMS centre of the GSM Paegas network received a requirement rose by nearly 50%. This happened during the week from Monday, March 5 to Sunday, March 11. With this offer of free services for all customers, RadioMobil celebrated the passing of the 2,000,000-customer mark reached at the end of February. "We have been very pleased by the interest in the Paegas Info and Paegas Info Plus services, it is obvious that our customers can use them and do not hesitate to do so. We are constantly developing a whole group of services based on text messages and just now we are again substantially extending the number of infochannels with ÄŚTK news within Paegas Info Plus," said the Marketing Director of RadioMobil Robert Chvátal.

Thanks to the Paegas mobile phone the user has always up-to-date information available. S/he can simply chose one of the many Paegas Info Plus infochannels and activate it by sending an SMS with a key word or via ClickProfil on www.click.cz. As soon as there is a new information in the given area, the user will receive it instantly in the form of an SMS. If s/he is interested in details, s/he can use ClickWAP and directly look at the full-text ÄŚTK news through a WAP-enabled telephone. "The Paegas mobile phone enables its users to be informed of current events happening in the world and in the Czech Republic, anytime and anywhere. I myself use this service very often, and thus when travelling abroad, I always know what is going on without having to look for another source of information," remarked Robert Chvátal.

Until now, RadioMobil has been offering six channels of the Czech News Agency (ÄŚeská tisková kanceláĹ? - ÄŚTK) in Czech and English. Their number has now risen to 30 and the individual channels are more specialised and so the interested person can order only such information s/he is most interested in. Nevertheless, the client can also order the main news which is a summary of several other channels, without the need to activate them individually. Within Paegas Info Plus the customers can order other information on traffic situation supplied by the companies EuroNet and Rita or music news from the web server i-music (www.i-music.cz) divided according to music genres (dance, pop, rock, folk, jazz, classic), or society news provided by the Story weekly. Each message received within Paegas Info Plus is charged according to a price list, ÄŚTK news in Czech cost one crown and in English 2.50 KÄŤ.

If the customers order Paegas Info Plus information via the Internet on www.click.cz, they will save on sending an ordering text message. In the same way they can also obtain information within the Paegas Info service that today offers a wide range of information channels focused on various topics. It owes a great deal of its popularity to the usage of Paegas SIM Toolkit that is included in all new SIM cards with the Paegas logo. Obtaining an information by means of the SIM Toolkit application is as easy as reading a standard SMS message. The Paegas Info service includes a variety of 60 infochannels (cinema programs, transportation and flight timetables, city transportation timetables, news overview, commercial register, currency exchange rates, jokes, and many others).

Information provided within the Paegas Info or Paegas Info Plus service can be obtained in three ways:
1) Via telephone supporting the SIM Toolkit standard under Paegas Menu (here are only the options Paegas Info Plus and Paegas Info)
2) Via sending an SMS with a key word to 4616
3) Via the ClickProfil service on the website www.click.cz

The joint-stock company RadioMobil is the operator of a GSM 900/1800 MHz network called Paegas. Today, the Paegas GSM network covers over 99% of the Czech population and 99.8% of first class roads. Only during the year 2000 the number of transmitters increased by 750 and thus reached 2500 by the end of the year. Last year, investments only in the network exceeded nine billion crowns. RadioMobil customers may use their mobile phones in networks of 203 operators from 89 countries of the whole world (124 various locations altogether). By the end of February 2001, more than 2,000,000 customers were using Paegas services.
