Number of Paegas Base Stations Reaches 3000

Prague, 14 November 2001 â?" RadioMobil has recently put into operation already the 3000th base transceiver station. The new station is located at Malá Hraštice, 37 km south-west of Prague. The stationâ??s antenna system is located on a water tank tower in such a way as not to disturb the surrounding landscape.

Base transceiver stations (BTS) form, together with repeaters, the backbone of every operatorâ??s backbone. The extent and quality of signal coverage depends on their number, location and set-up. The Paegas network signal today covers 99% of the Czech population and over 98% of A-class roads.
