Beside Expandia Banka, IPB, ÄŚSOB and Poštovní spoĹ?itelna, a fifth bank will offer GSM Banking to its customers: Union Banka. To use the unique service of GSM Banking the user only needs a phone that supports the service (today practically all phones sold), and a banking SIM card that is in the CR offered only by the operator of the Paegas GSM network. Existing customers can exchange their SIM card for a banking one for 400 crowns. Owners of prepaid Paegas Twist cards also have an opportunity to do that.
A revolutionary novelty, offered in the Czech Republic only by RadioMobil, is extending Paegas Assistant 333 by secretarial services. Beside retrieval of phone numbers, direct connection with the looked-up number, sending off the looked-up number as a text message, call schedule, assembly of multiparty calls and interpreting services, the secretarial services are another step towards facilitating communication for users of Paegas mobile phones. Thanks to the new service, everyone can easily send e-mails, faxes or text messages without having to pick them out on the phone. You only dial 333 (+420 603 123 333 from abroad) and dictate the message text with a number or address to be sent to. Like this, you can send one fax within the CR, or a text message and an unlimited number of e-mails. Even though this service was originally designed for Paegas customers only, due to great interest of public it was also made accessible from other phone networks through a special number 0603 123 333. For customers calling from other domestic networks, operators will look up the number of a Paegas customer and put them through immediately.
Since the moment customers of the Paegas network got free data and fax services, the Paegas Expert voicemail service is also becoming even more advantageous. Using this service you can answer recorded messages directly, use the Paegas phone as a virtual fax, where messages and faxes can be furthermore diverted, set to automatic send-out (including mass despatch) and their delivery time can also be set.
Another novelty for September is a special Twist set for pupils called Mobil Junior. For CZK 4 999 the customer gets a modern, very small handset from which children, assumed as its main users, can call only previously entered numbers. Parents who buy the phone for them can adjust selected phone numbers that their child will be able to call. The Siemens C25 set includes a simple instruction guide on how to set the phone so that its owner can call selected phone numbers only. It is then up to the buyer whether s/he takes advantage of this service and hence restricts calls to other numbers.
Beside an offer for pupils RadioMobil also included a brand new phone in its offer â?" the Panasonic GD52. This elegant handset in blue or silver features among others a speakerphone function, and you can furthermore select any sound as a ringer tone. The phone has also a built-in clock, alarm or for instance a currency conversion function.
A special offer of phones is becoming almost commonplace in monthly news. This time it concerns six phones and another five Paegas Twist sets. From this point of view especially Motorola T2288 will capture interest â?" it supports WAP and the RadioMobil customer can have it for CZK 99. Those interested in prepaid services will be certainly addressed by a Paegas set with Alcatel OT Easy db for CZK 3 999.

The joint-stock company RadioMobil is the operator of the most dynamically growing GSM network in the Czech Republic. At the end of 1999, the Paegas brands share of the market amounted to 47%, and the share of its Paegas Twist pre-paid services even reached over 60%. During 1999 more than 500,000 new customers decided to use its services, which is the highest such figure in the history of mobile communications in the CR. The Paegas GSM network, which is operated by RadioMobil, is among the most technologically advanced in the world and has no rival on the Czech market for a whole range of services.
Only in the Paegas network can literally all customers, including owners of pre-paid Paegas Twist cards, make use of the most up-to-date services: completely cost-free data and fax transmissions, GSM banking, WAP-based services, Paegas Assistant and others. Currently, only RadioMobil offers the option of ordering services or monitoring billing over the Internet, thanks to the Paegas Info Profile service. And customers can always be sure that they have chosen the most effective operator on the Czech market.
RadioMobil can fully rely on its shareholders: ÄŚeské radiokomunikace - 51% (during 2001 its share will decrease to 39.2%, following exercise of an option by the CMobil consortium) and the CMobil consortium - 49% (beginning in 2001, 60.8%). The CMobil consortium is made up of the following: T-Mobil - a 100%-owned daughter company of Deutsche Telekom (85.55%), TIM - Telecom Italia Mobile (12%), as well as SKS - SpoĹ?itelní kapitálová spoleÄŤnost, a.s. and PVT, a.s.
Today the Paegas GSM network covers more than 99% of the Czech population and 99.8% of category 1 roadways. RadioMobil customers can use their mobile telephones in the networks of 188 operators in nearly 85 countries all over the world (114 different locations in all). During 1999 RadioMobil invested more than 5.5 billion Czech crowns into its network, and investment for the year 2000 is planned at over 10 billion. In June 2000 over 1 350 000 customers were using the Paegas services. Paegas registered about 500 000 new customers.
