Prague, 21 August 2019 - As of 1 September 2019, T-Mobile customers have the opportunity to use the new generation of tariffs. In their creation, the operator relied on both the long-term development of customer behavior and latest experience from the Unlimited Summer campaign. The new generation of tariffs is characterized by maximum flexibility - the customer composes the tariff himself/herself using a voice and : data component, the size of which he/she chooses according to individual needs, but may prefer a data only variant, as well. The customer can choose a variant of the contract with a phone subsidy of up to 5000 (for 24 months) or without a subsidy (without a time commitment) for the same monthly flat rate price as with the subsidy variant. T-Mobile also introduces unlimited variants of tariffs - a data tariff is can be purchased for CZK 1,175 and with an unlimited voice for CZK 1,575. All tariffs can be combined under the Magenta 1 program, which again reduces the price of tariffs by 10 - 25%.
“In the new tariffs, we reflect the basic requirements of our customers, especially the need for a larger portion of data and the opportunity to get a tailor-made offer,” says Juraj Bóna, T-Mobile's Director for the Czech Republic. “During the Unlimited Summer, which has been used by over 700,000 customers, we have a clearer picture of the real amount of data that customers are able to consume if they do not need to monitor consumption, and this data is reflected in specific tariffs. Due to the wide range of possible combinations, we believe that everybody can choose from the new offer”.
Unlimited summer in a nutshell
The summer offer of unlimited data has attracted over 774,000 customers, of which 7% are brand new. Out of the total number of existing customers addressed by the campaign, the vast majority (approx. 78%) were contracted customers, 11.5% were prepaid users and 10% sole traders. Almost three quarters of “unlimited” fell in the 30-60 age group. The most dated were Thursday and Friday, while the largest volume of data was used by customers in the Central Bohemia Region. Average consumption for contract customers reached 12.6 GB in July, 17.26 GB for existing Twists and 25.5 GB for newcomers. 36% of the “unlimited” went abroad, who on average rooted “1.41 GB” and 10% of the total volume of “unlimited” data. The Unlimited Summer offer also appealed to those who have not yet used the data: the number has reached nearly 80,000.
DYI (and don't forget Magenta 1)
Customers can set up their tariff from a voice and data element. The voice component includes minutes and SMS to all networks, higher tariffs and abroad.
Voice:
The data component offers a range from 1.5 GB/month to unlimited operation. The basic offer includes volumes based on the most common consumption during the Unlimited Summer. This showed that most users (about 70%), regardless to the fact they have complete freedom, did with 12 GB per month. However, the operator also offers much larger data volumes, including unlimited (Unlimited HD, Unlimited MAX). The customer can also opt for a purely data tariff.
Basic data volumes:
If the customer does not choose from the main menu, they can opt for alternative data volumes:
T-Mobile also thinks of customers who are only interested in data. Tariffs range from 3 GB to unlimited volume:
All new tariffs starting at CZK 399 per month can be included in the Magenta 1 program and benefit from a 10, 15, 20, and 25% discount.
Subsidies for selected terminals vs No commitment
The customer can also purchase a new phone with the new tariff. T-Mobile offers subsidies in the amount of CZK 1,000 - 5,000, depending on the monthly fee. With this option, the customer enters into a 24-month contract. If he chooses the option without a subsidy, the contract does not contain any time commitment, and the customer can terminate the contractual relationship at any time with a notice period of 30 days. In this case, the monthly fee is the same as for the commitment option.
The new tariffs will be available from 1 September 2019 at standard points of sale and on the operator's website - see www.t-mobile.cz/novetarify.
